He has top 2% of the league physical talent and is already one of the most efficient scores in the league. 6’6 up to 220lbs now over 7’2 wingspan and has a 39” vertical and 3.11 three quarter court sprint at combine and his strength, length, athleticism and open court speed all pop on tape. J Dub was hit in the face 5 minutes into his first NBA game missed 4 had to have surgery and wear a mask for weeks couldn’t shoot with it, didn’t start til mid December and had to earn his touches. If you just look at 2nd half numbers in comparison to Paolo it’s clear and obvious J Dub is way better currently and him playing so good without SGA too proves it’s not just him being efficient playing off a star like so many ppl say. Last 36 of 72 games Paolo 18.8ppg 7reb 3.6ast .6stl .6blk 2.6TO 41.6/28.5/71.9 splits(awful) and -108 vs J Dub last 37 of 75 16.5ppg 5.3reb 3.8ast 1.8stl .4blk 1.7TO 52.9/40.6/85.6(elite) splits and +93. And in 11 games without SGA 21.5ppg 4.7reb 5.5ast 1.9stl 1.9TO 55/39/79 splits and +45 The gap in efficiency is massive and J dub looked a bit better playmaking and definitely better on D. J Dub 77 dunks on the season to Paolo’s 52 and Paolo made 65 more shots on the season but on 328 more attempts(19.8%) that’s pretty crazy
Players who also started their career at 21 or older(up to 25) include MJ, Curry, Duncan, Bird, Hakeem, David Robinson, Pippen, Kidd, Nash, AI, Pierce, Rodman, Carter, Allen, Butler, Lillard, Klay, Draymond, Manu, Middleton, Siakam, Mitchell, Bane, Bridges etc… etc… there are a lot. The narrative of it limiting a players ceiling is obviously bs . Also J Dub just a classic late bloomer he didn’t stop growing in height until very recently and he didn’t even play like a rookie year one

It’s not even that they aren’t good or scary, THEY PLAY IN THE WEST. They’re big fishes in a massive ocean. They’ll be lucky to make the play-in.
