Still confuse on what they are trying to do. Are they trying to win now or just developing the young players?. What's the point of having Kyrie then? Kyrie is 31yrs old. That means the longer they wait the lesser chance they will get a chip in this Luka-Kyrie window they have. You can't also expect the rookies to contribute right away or rush their development as you said on your previous videos. And yeah, you can't have Josh as who he is now, as your 3rd best player trying to win.
I agree Nicko isnt the "chosen one" right now. BUT Powell/THJ were the 2 guys with the best +/- on the entire team last season. They were not the problem last year…
Real live had an influence on his playing time. The Kings didnt want stress with the woke local press, hence why they tryed not to play him. Those off court lies were the reason he was out of the rotation and not even a backup. Point!
Yes, Lively is the best Center prospect we had since… ever? BUT he needs time and I belive in an outside shot, when I see it in games. Training shots are not game shots. Does anyone remember the WCS shooting lots of 3's in a gym videos? How did that pan out?
If it comes to Powell, yes he shouldnt start, yes he isnt a good PO starter… BUT no, he wasnt the problem in our Big Man rotation last year. He never had a neg NetRtg on the Mavs since Luka's rookie year… never! Not even in the 2022 WCF PO run. His NetRtg was still positive. Makes no sense, but its true. And it was specially true last season, as well as in 2021, when he came off the bench for most of the season!
Brunson situation was a historic mistake that could have easily been avoided by making an easy decision to extend him. But the front office fucked it up so badly, that I can't praise them at all. Not to mention extending Hardaway long term instead of going after someone like Derozan in 2021. Then going after old McGee instead of Hartenstein. Then trading KP at his lowest value possible (Mavs should have received Gafford or Hachimura and instead they gave up a 2nd round pick).
Question: Is J Kidd the right coach for this team? The Mavs actually have a young core that can be modeled around Luka, is there a better coach to do this?

JB walked regardless of how much money we offered, it’s the prev gm fault for not making his contract restricted in FA
Interesting video, and some strange takes…
