Why didn’t Kerr trade up to draft him when he had the opportunity? T wolves offered the 2020 1st overall pick for the 2020 2nd overall pick + their own 2021 1st round pick back from the dubs (dubs received the Twolves 2021 1st round pick in the Wiggins trade). Klay tore his Achilles right before the 2020 draft so it made even more sense when taking that into account.

Because Anthony Edwards could have just as easily been Anthony Bennet. Wiseman could have become Hakeem. LaMello could’ve been Magic. 2/5 guys picked in the top 5 become studs. It’s a crapshoot.
He didn’t say “we’ve known all along he’s unquestionably the guy.” Drafts are a gamble and we needed a big. Wiseman didn’t pan out and Ant exceeded expectations. We have to let it go lol

Damn that’s crazy, didn’t know that was an option. Yeah Curry and Ant would be ridiculous. Easily the best backcourt in the league and would be the best duo in the league.

The same reason why the Timberwolves drafted two point guards over Steph Curry: Because they didn’t know what these players would become.
In what world is it worth it to trade a FRP from one of the strongest drafts in the last decade in order to move up 1 spot in the weakest draft of the las decade?
Why didn’t he trade up for LeBron either?
My hot take is he’ll be the next face of the league and not Ja or Luka.
