His defense looks a LOT better. He’s not the most athletic but he’s chasing every play and not letting bigs back him down in the post. I would not be surprised if Reaves wins the Most Improved award next year.
Also, it’s quite amusing reading the NBA sub be surprised that Reaves is actually good. Us Lakers fans have been saying Reaves is the third best player on the Lakers for some time now. Best free agent signing in the NBA this offseason. Not even close.

Is it just me or has Reaves sped up his catch and shoot mechanics? I’ve noticed this in all the friendlies, he’s catching the ball high and just shooting it immediately with no dip with perhaps more consistently than he’s done before. Maybe I’m seeing things. But my guy just keeps getting better. Side note Haliburton and Reaves is an amazing combination, both in playstyle and chemistry. Need Tyrese to be a Laker now lol.
