Why do the cavs do this? Like this makes no sense for them unless they decide to blow it up a year after getting Mitchell?

Na Robs contract is easily the best in the league and while Allen is a solid player I think Rob is Tatum/Browns guy and has so much untapped potential

The proposed deal is Horford, Hauser, Pritchard and a 1st for Jarrett Allen. I have no idea why the Cavs would ever agree to this though. Seems like theyāre gonna try and build off of their successes from last year and Pritchard makes no sense when you consider that Garland and Spida are both 6ā1ā already.

Hardwood Houdini strikes again with the worst trade of all time.
Trading Horford, whose leadership here is undervalued and was a big part of stopping other bigs like Embiid and Giannis the past 2 years for a guy who didnāt show up the past playoffs to get past Mitchell Robinson.
Jarrett Allen is a nice player, but Iām not moving Horford, our 8th and 9th guys and a FRP for a Horford replacement thatās twice as expensive and then having to slot Banton and Brissett up to the 8th and 9th guys in the rotation, plus losing a first over it.
Absolutely abysmal trade for the now, the future, for talent reasons, for cap reasons, for regular season and playoffs. Iām honestly impressed.

Anyone else think our bench would become worryingly shallow by giving up Timelord, Al, Hauser and PP for just one player as this article suggests?
Not saying its a bad hypothetical trade, but weāve already given up a fair bit of depth this off-season.

I donāt even understand the point. Because the Celtics are worried about health and depth they should trade three players for one?

Thank Zeus that Brad Stevens done listen to Hardwood Houdini.
