What James Harden Calling Daryl Morey A Liar Means For The LA Clippers

On Monday, a video of James Harden blew up on the internet where he publicly called Daryl Morey, General Manager of the Philadelphia 76ers, a liar. Morey and Harden have extensive history that dates back to his Houston Rockets days. So what does it mean for the LA Clippers?

In this episode, die hard LA Clippers fan and Host Darian Vaziri talks about what Harden’s outburst means for the Clippers in their pursuit of him, what his agent recently said about him, and what trading for Harden would mean.

  1. Hell no. Please we do not want or need him!!! He's completely the opposite of what the Clipps organization is about

  2. HARDEN & TUCKER & HOUSE…..FOR
    – POWELL & MORRIS & K.BROWN & BOSTON & (COVINGTON OR BATUM) & (ONE 1ST RD PICK OR TWO 2ND RD PICKS)

  3. Thats right, stop playing, cry babys. The heat had to move on from lebron James, winning championship s.Come on with the crap.I love harden,i want him on the clippers.plz help him he loves you, cause pat Riley loves the heat.Disgusting harden cant be great where he wants to be.❤❤❤❤

  4. If he gets traded to the clippers, I can see Lawrence Frank getting fired midway through the season or in the off season.

  5. IMO Harden’s target for these comments isn’t Morey. It’s Josh Harris. Rich dudes never want to be associated with anyone perceived as anti-China. Not because of politics but the money.

Remember in 2019 Morey was the reigning NBA executive of the year. He then issued the pro Hong Kong tweet that upset the Chinese government, and Tillman Fertitta immediately issued an apology saying the Rockets absolutely did not share his views. Publicly he said he had no problem with what Morey said and that it would not impact his job status at all, but before the next season started he was gone, one year removed from being the executive of the year.

Josh Harris has to be beside himself that he wakes up one morning and his team is now the Morey team in China. Does that mean Harris will fire Morey? Probably not. But did the odds of Harris calling up Morey and telling him “I don’t give a F about getting Terance Mann, kill this feud NOW” go up? I would absolutely think so.

I think what Harden is doing shows this is not just another disgruntled NBA player situation, he will do anything to get away from the Sixers. Not what is within the typical “I don’t like my boss and want out of my job” rules, he’s willing to destroy Morey. Morey likes to brag about how he likes being uncomfortable but being uncomfortable at the Sloan Conference because some dude you fired as an intern is now on your speaking panel and being uncomfortable because Harden is raising the ire of China and Josh Harris against you is a little different.

What does this all mean for the Clippers fans who want Harden? Be careful what you wish for. Fat Old Harden is like the cursed Monkey's Paw in the old horror story, he might grant your wishes but only in the most twisted ways.

  6. My take on Clippers-Harden thing (after having watched this and your previous video) is that Clippers want a Fantastic 4, the belief that each superstar equals a free playoff victory pass. One round will be won by Leonard, another by George, another by Westbrook, leaving the Finals to chance. Therefore, adding Harden would ensure Clippers an automatic championship victory because of the playoff victory pass concept – it's all about power.

In your previous video, you made points about why Mann is more valuable to Clippers than Harden. Many critics would choose the superstar with multiple All-Star visits and a league MVP versus a role player who is at best an energizer bunny, which is how Mann is being categorized by sports critics. What they don't realize is that **Mann saved the Clippers from a horrendous rebuilding fate**. Coming off the worst 3-1 collapse in NBA history in 2020, Clippers were forced to make the conference finals in a sort of Mortal Kombat season, or else Leonard would leave. They were down 2-0 in every single round, losing Game 3 meaning an automatic series loss as no team has ever won a series after being down 3-0. Game 6 saw Jazz take a 25-point lead at one point. Here comes Mann with a career high 39-point game that not only eliminated Jazz, but gave them their first conference finals berth and ensured Leonard would re-sign. Had it not been for that, I think Jazz would have won the series. Clippers see Mann as a savior.

  7. If any high member of the Clips organization is reading this please consider Dwight Howard. In case we run into Denver in the WCF, remember that he did a damned good job guarding Jokic.

  8. When Russ went to the Rockets, it broke my heart. Because I can't stand Harden, everything about him. His personality, his professionalism and especially his playstyle.

Him coming to the Clippers now, when Russ seems to finally be in a healthy environment? Fuck this guy! Go have fun somewhere else!

  9. And remember a lot of Harden’s points in the past were from free throws. He was avg’ing 10 FT’s a game a couple seasons. He gamed the foul bating so much the league had to change the rules 😂

  10. That statement in China by James Harden was propaganda and business. He did it because the CCP asked him to in my belief because of the previous comments as a Houston rocket made by Daryl Morey about China.
