    i feel like team usa should use most of the same team they used to qualify for the world cup. those guys earned a chance to play in the tournament games.
    yea the nba players are better, but if those guys really wanted to represent the country, they need to play the qualifier. the nba owners, agents, injury, etc. wont let them, but it only seems fair.
    its like if you earned a chance to go on special vacation from work, then they send your coworkers that earn more money to go in your stead. its like these nba players do the bare minimum (in terms of fiba play) and that is, that theyre americans. i feel like nba players that want to represent usa should play a certain amount of fiba games to actually qualify to play in tournament games like this. and that goes for every country, not just usa.
    the olympics is a different story.

    "but we want the best of the best to represent out country" then play them against top world teams. i hate this "a" team and "b" team thing we do. we dont even send in our best(in terms of high dollar sports like basketball and baseball and sometimes even soccer 'fotball') and that seems like a slap in the face to the rest of the world.
    "but they dont use their superstars either" thats 1 person missing from most of these teams rosters.

    i also feel like with the talent coming out of europe, if the european nba superstars played in euroleague instead in america, you would see a huge change in viewership for euroleague. to the point where it would absolutely be able to contend against the viewership for nba. the nba would still be the worlds best basketball league, it would just have an actual contender in the euroleague. and that would make the sport that much more competitive with viewership for the nfl and european football
