Not to be pessimistic but I trust washed Mcgee more than Hayes

  2. laskeshowbroyo

I’d love this. Javale is an all-time vibes guy and fits what I feel the lakers are looking for in a back up center. For a 14th/15th spot on the roster, why not?

  3. SeatedJumper

Wouldn’t mind it. No one available at this point is gonna be a jokic stopper (if those even exist anymore). The late Dwight addition during championship season was an exception as he had burned pretty much every other available bridge in NBA.

He might be a bit old, but I think having 1 more vet on the team would be great. Plus, he did help us in a lot of situations during our bubble championship and he was actually in great shape.

Guy might be washed but we don’t need him playing heavy minutes anyway.

Bring him in! Realistically – I’m sure Pelinka wants the flexibility of a roster spot for mid-season though. So I’m not keeping my hopes up. Been doing that the past year or two. Though, I will say McGee could help with the chemistry(see 2020 in the Bubble). And I’m sure he wouldn’t mind being a 3rd center/in competition as a back-up. Give Hayes some pressure to perform and stay out of trouble.

Hayes and McGee is better than our C situation last season, and we made the WCF!

  8. Theoneandonlylog

He’s extremely washed. We need to use our limited roster spots on guys that can actually help the team

  9. Intelligent-Sell-642

I’d rather have him than Wood. Wood is the better player but I trust Javalle more to not freak out if they aren’t played.

  10. DudeWTH

I’d take him. He could play the Dudley role anyways if he is truly washed

  11. rejectx

I would take him for his locker room presence alone, dude made our championship season so much fun.

They were desperate for literally any pick and roll/lob threat for luka and he still couldn’t get minutes.

    He’s ass now.

  13. _Zap_Rowsdower_

We need to make our move here. If we aren’t getting Wood for the vet this is a good backup option.

  14. CabbageStockExchange

For end of bench vet presence and depth why not? We can still add another and waive him at the deadline if a better buyout comes around

  15. favorite_sardine

Sign him just for the Pierre vibes and playoff vlog.

  16. MethodMan_

If he’s not good enough for the mavs that says a lot. He’s done.

  17. motorboat_mcgee

Washed, but also not a lot of choices left…

  18. NotTheMamba

If we’re not signing Wood, we need to bring Javale home.

  19. eddyocho

Lakers are signing him because of his locker room presence

If no one else is available, then snap him up. If he can give 5 minutes a game when the team is healthy, and 15 or so when AD is sitting, that could be a big help.
