This Changes EVERYTHING For Damian Lillard…

For months, everyone has assumed that Damian Lillard will get traded to the Miami Heat at some point… but what if that never happens?

  1. You can all thank Lebron for this Damian/Portland situation. Lebron has been an example to other NBA star players that they can just pressure teams and force their way to their desired destination.

  2. this video is a big nothing burger. nothing has changed, we’ve known the situation for weeks. maybe take a vacation bro

  3. I always said go after Beal if you can get him. Then resign gabe vincent. I had a feeling this was going to happen.

  4. It seems as simple as Miami, doesn't have a lot to offer and doesn't really NEED to make a bigger offer. And accepting the current offer looks like a loss for Portland, so because of that, they are going to hold out because they don't HAVE to take the offer or any offer…yet. So all this now hinges on whether or not the situation changes enough that one of the two feels like they have to change course. And when that happens, it's not unlikely that it will also require some other teams getting involved so that the trade at least seems more acceptable. This whole thing is just because the player wants movement, but no GM worth anything is going to let that be at their own expense.

  5. They should do whatever’s the best for themselves. Enough of this loyalty crap

  6. Miami is not desperate lol. They still a top 4 team in the east without dame.

  7. Portland is playing this right and they have all the leverage. Some of us have understood that all along. The trade hasn’t happened yet is because Miami’s package is junk. They need to sweeten the pot.

  8. Miami hasn’t put any offer on the table. Both sides haven’t even had a conversation lmao

  9. It won't be the Knicks that's for sure.. Makes no sense with Brunson there

  10. You're insane. Spoken like a true non-Miami Heat fan that actually knows what's going on with the organization.

First of all you really think it would be intelligent of Portland to go into the season with Damien? Lol That's hilarious. Let him get injured and see how f*** Portland will be then.

Portland is being greedy. The one thing that you said was correct has to do with his market. His market is not good at all. It's not good at all because the NBA is currently dominated by small guards, He's too old, and his contract takes 90% of the teams out of the equation. What's left one or two teams? Lol come on man.

Lastly Miami doesn't care as much as people think they care about this. You went as far as to say they're desperate? If we were desperate we would already have Damian Lillard. Miami loves Tyler Hero. Frankly IMO I don't give a damn if we get them or not. I would go as far as to say I almost rather keep Tyler.

  11. At this point, Portland will plan to go into the season with Dame, Scoot can come off the bench initially. When you only have one team interested and an offer you don't agree with, that's the smart business move. See the Knicks & Jazz and the Donovan Mitchell trade rumors from last season – the Jazz waited until early September to move Mitchell and were able to move off the Knicks offer.

At the latest, by December, when players who signed this offseason become eligible to move, and teams have had 25 games to find that their rosters don't work, more teams will be amenable to making a trade for Dame.

  12. I could potentially see the deal taking place after the season starts, with Miami having an awful start to the year and getting desperate to the point of throwing anything that they can for Dame, kind of like how Harden ended up in Brooklyn.
At least that's what I think Cronin is banking on.

  13. That's cap. For a few reasons
    1. Herro and Robinson live on the trading block😐..so that doesn't matter. This is the Heat franchise we talking bout, they are pros who have been in this situation before and been fine after.
    2. Portland need to tank or lose their pick to the Bulls. Keeping Dame goes against that.
    3. Miami has played this well as no other team, not even one has shown interest in Dame. Why would they up their offer against themselves😂
    4. It's a pipe dream thinking some team will blow up their young core for Dame- he's a win now player…who has also said he will basically be miserable playing for another team besides the Heat…so, who really has the leverage🤔

  14. Cronin is going to play hard ball on this. I seriously doubt that Dame ends up on Miami and he will never step foot on the floor for the Blazers again. Cronin has not budged even a little bit on the Miami offer and I doubt will. He doesn't want Herro. Doesn't want Duncan Robinson. Doesn't want Lowry. Kind of hard to make a deal when the other team is offering stuff you don't want and refuse to take.

I think this has become a line in the sand for Cronin. Dame will likely end up some place like Utah or Brooklyn. If Utah makes even a decent offer, Dame is going to be on the Jazz as they can offer them a couple good young pieces, picks and a player like Collins.

  15. IF HE WAS GOING TO BE ON THE HEAT HE WILL BE THERE NOW I THINK PORTLAND TRYING TO TRADE SOME ONE ELSE TO HELP DAME AND SCOOT THIS YEAR 😂

  16. Dame likes living in Portland, has a big estate there that he hasn’t tried to sell, and hosted a big album-release party in a downtown venue a week ago Saturday. I do believe he wants to be traded to a contending team, but he’s not going to make a stink about playing in Portland for a while longer. He was very close to being the top scorer in the NBA last season, and if he comes out on fire like that again, teams will probably finally wise up and start making some serious offers.

  17. One of three things can happen here.

Miami makes its offer attractive to Portland by moving Herro elsewhere for assets Portland wants, since Portland clearly has no interest in him being the centerpiece of the deal.

Dame can make himself more willing to play for other teams.

Or Dame can waste away on Portlands bench for the last 4 years of his effective playing career.

He chose to take the money and re-sign in Portland. Now he wants the money and Miami. It doesn't work like that and teams should stop giving into these superstars when they have them under contract.

  18. Miami is going to win 50 games and go to the ECF again without Dame while Portland stunts Scoots growth

  19. I’m sick of the old millennial NBA player and the coverage they get. They’re all mid 30’s and throwing temper tantrums after choosing to sign somewhere, when they could’ve signed anywhere else. I hope they hold out and never play again. A bunch of 30 year olds acting like they’re 6

  20. I just see Zack LaVine, Vuch, and White from Chicago being attached to Dame somehow. LaVine going to the Trailblazers in the move possibly in a multi team deal

  21. It could be possible that Portland is waiting for a 3rd team to get involved in this deal. I think it is unlikely that the Heat are able to get a deal done without a 3rd team taking on Herro. The Blazers already have two young ball handlers in Simons and Henderson. The Blazers probably don't have any interest in Tyler Herro

  22. Portland would rather keep Dame than trade him for the worst return package for a superstar player in the modern NBA era.

  23. Miami isn’t in a desperate situation. Getting Dame is optimal but they just went to the finals without Tyler Herro. Now he’s gonna be back. Whether they trade for Dame or not, they have a better team than the one that just went to the finals.

  24. We all know the blazers won't trade with Miami cause it's not about business, it's about sending a message. When the heat laugh at the blazers trying to trade for bam. Cronin took it personally 😂

  25. Including Bam and Nurkic in the deal is that unrealistic? Possibly some picks would need to be included as well.

  26. i’ll save you a watch: he says that damian lillard will NOT be traded to the heat and will instead be traded to the lakers with a deal centered around d angelo russel and picks.

  27. On the bright side Dame and Portland have officially shown being loyal as a superstar means nothing 💀

  28. Why would the Blazers even entertain the Heats offer, they are in absolutely no rush and have time and leverage on their side, heck they can sit Dame for 2 Seasons and would still get more for him than the heat can offer. If the Heat really want dame, any reasonable offer to the Blazers should start with BAM+Herro+young players+3-4 1sts and some salary fillers and should also include taking Nurkic off the blazers as a part of that deal, that is closer to Dames value, what the heat are offering now is a joke. Tyler Herro is rather a negative asset, not something to build a trade around, he is overpaid and has similar value to jordan poole, you rather have to attach assets to him to get rid of that contract. If i am the blazers, i would not even consider any offer that does not include Bam, why would they, Bam is the only asset on the Heats roster that could be interesting to the Blazers. I still think that a deal with Boston centering around J Brown or a trade with the raptors centering around Scottie Barnes are the most viable options that make sense for both team and Dame has absolutely no say in it considering his contract, he got his loyalty paid in advance and sold his freedom, just bad luck.

  29. I keep seeing this Portland doesn’t have to take Miamis offer but I don’t see any other team offering anything for a 33 year old pg that’s making 60 mil when he’s 36?! So where does Portland win? The older Dame gets the less value he holds

  30. Why wasn't a three team trade ever mentioned in this video?! IMO that's the only way this gets done. I'm surprised there haven't been reports of Miami trying to find a 3rd team to take Herro in exchange for a wing/big going to Portland.
