Like the confidence, but he still has a lot to do to take that title, Magic accomplished more in less time.

  2. FlipAnd1

    Best shooter of all time…

    Yes,

    Now point guard…

    Idk about that

  3. Anxious_Star_5710

Anyone else think it’s kinda nuts how OP is just casually roleplaying as Gil Arenas on Reddit?

  4. downinCarolina

curry isn’t even a better point guard than jokic if you watch last years playoffs. dude would skip scoring for entire quarters and just call plays from the top of the key and they’d still be in the lead

  5. UnearthlyDinosaur

Magic won 5 chips yet having to play against a completely stacked Celtics team with Bird, Parish, and McHale for years. Add in Olajuwon, who he swept in 1991.

  6. ErrForceOnes

Doesn’t John Stockton have more assists and steals than him?

Steph just needs that 1 finals defining performance over another top player to surpass Magic.

Magic just has too many epic finals moments. Baby Hook to kill Bird. Stepping in at center as a rookie with Kareem down to destroy Dr.J.

Beating up baby Tatum and Brown just doesn’t have that legacy moment to it. He needs to outplay Giannis in the finals or something

Magic won a championship and FMVP in his rookie year without his teams best player at the time, all while playing every position on the court. That alone puts him in the conversation of Mt. Rushmore and GOAT PG. And then he went on to win 4 more rings, 3 more FMVPs and 3 MVPs. I don’t think anyone is dethroning him anytime soon. But Curry is the clear #2.

No way he is dreaming. Did he forget about a guy called John Stockton who was amazing to watch as he delivered those passes to Malone.

Like sands through an hour glass, so are the days of our lives.

Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana.

The answer my friend, is blowing in the wind.

lmfao this dude really said this? I feel like players don’t understand how they are actually viewed sometimes.

Bruh choked the fuck out of his biggest season and finals moment in his career. In 20 years, I’ll remember Curry as that dude who was big mad and chucked his mouthpiece as he watched LeBron rise to that next level of greatness, by snatching the elusive Cleveland championship, from a 3-1 deficit, against Curry’s 73-9 squad. That’s what a fucking career-defining moment looks like. Ain’t nothing he can do to overcome that.

jfc. Thought this was circlejerk for a minute.

Best PG of all time? No. Best player listed at PG of all time? Yes without a doubt in my mind.

I think blowing 3-1, playing with kd in his prime, and his late start are probably the worst hits to his “legacy”. Imo skill wise theyre at the same level both were dominant offensively and bad-average defensively. Steph dominated shooting while Magic dominated playmaking. Magic was still an amazing scorer, but so is Steph’s playmaking. I think skill wise theyre neck and neck, but Magic’s accolades are just too much compared to Steph. Overall I have Magic at 7 and Steph at 12(Steph might finish a little higher depending on the next couple of years)

Players that I personally have between them just for funsies so people can judge my list.

    Guarteed T10: Duncan5, Wilt6, Magic7, Bird8.

    Arguable T10: Kobe9, Hakeem10, Shaq11, Steph12

In my opinion, he’s certainly behind Magic but Steph certainly gets picked before Magic for my goat 5-man lineup.

Stephews going wild with this one

Magic is #1. There is a huge gap between him and whoever is #2.

  16. jinglesGOAT

Magic > Isiah Thomas > Steph

    Steph never could’ve beaten MJ

  17. hotpocketthrowaway

Magic still has the accolades and is higher on the all time list, but Steph isn’t too far off and I’m taking him to make an all time starting five.

  18. ThedirtyNose

What do they call it these days… disruptive. He’s the most disruptive player the nba has seen in decades.

  19. People often forget to factor in the talent discrepancy between the 80s and in todays nba. Most current top 5 players are not even from United States.

  20. DelaRoad

There shouldn’t be an “All Time” in the NBA because the game has changed so drastically. Magic is the greatest of his era. And Steph is the greatest of his.

If I’m saying who’s had the better career, accomplished more, and is higher in the all time rankings: Magic

If I’m talking about who’s had a better peak, or if I’m building a dream team of 5 players who’s the better player for my team: Curry

  22. Ill_Celery_7654

He’s definitely not the best PG of all time I’d put at least 3 other guys before him on that debate. I don’t even consider Steph a true PG because he came in the league as a SG and played off ball a lot. He’s proven that he’s just as much of a menace when he has the ball in his hands though. Now best shooter of all time there’s no debate. The only 3 guys you can put in a conversation with him as far as shooting are Ray Allen, Reggie Miller and Klay Thompson and he’ll out shoot all 3 on any given day.

  23. Kablaow

Only reason people put Magic ahead is because Curry is still playing. Imagine how we’ll talk about curry in 20 years.

  24. goodolehal

People need to realize who Magic is. We’re talking about a dude who made the NBA Finals in 9 out of 13 seasons he was in the league.

And for the “Magic had Kareem” folks, well Steph had KD for 2 titles, and lukewarm take here but I’m taking that version of KD (at his absolute prime) over an older KAJ whose best season was in 1974. For most of Magic’s laker years it was Worthy as the 2nd leading scorer and Kareem 3rd.
