Could Simmons get it back? Absolutely, his physical ability is there. Is he willing to take the steps of eating humble pie, ignoring the trolls, and working to be comfortable on an NBA court again? Almost certainly not.
It’s like he got to the NBA and his ego couldn’t handle not being heads and shoulders above everyone else. It’s a shame because he could have developed into a truly special player.
