This is a great sign, whenever they underrate us we always overachieve. We’ll have that ninth seed on lock.

Previous seasons I’d call bullshit on their predictions but 11 or 12 seems realistic.

Or we yet again clinch the 1 game and done play in spots and remain the same as last season

My range of likely outcomes for this team is between the 8 and 12 seeds.

(With the roster as is, so no Pascal trade.

If I had to put a number on it, I’d go with 39 wins.

I’d kinda be shocked if Philly makes the top 4 with the chemistry issues, and the current roster make up.

Maxey gonna lead the league in minutes now with nurse around. Also, don’t know how many Embiid will miss with Nurse around (I mean he might play more in the games he plays on lieu of not playing a few games… basically load management).

Think they could be a problem in the first round… but we will see.

As for us, makes sense where we are. Though we gotta see how the nets look seeing that teams now had more time to review how bridges plays as the main guy along with if Ben Simmons recovers.

I don’t think the heat are gonna be that good in the regular season next year

I’m so confused about this Reddit. Why are you guys so pessimistic? Like it doesn’t even make sense. They were shit last year and didn’t have a center for half the year and still ended with 41 wins. I’d be extremely surprised if they don’t end up with more wins. Schroeder should be an upgrade of last years Freddy.

  7. It’s hard to say, I would say we are about the same as last year or slightly better by a few games, depending on factors like how guys mesh together with freddy gone+new head coach.

  8. cbotter

They’re going for top 5. The East is weak and aging.

  9. Ssstanimal

All apart of Masai and Bobby’s endgame.

  10. Barnicus53

Toronto being slightly behind Chicago with 36 wins seems about right, given the roster makeup and Darko likely focusing on development.

Raptors are making the playoffs as a top seed in the East.

    Too much narrative going on

Makes sense, we had one of the worst spacing last season and lost our best shooter/playmaker. Even terrible teams like the Wizards have shooters that can get hot like Poole, Kuzma and Kispert. Some terrible teams like the Bulls and Magic have centers that can shoot too. As things stand on paper, 10th seed would be a best case scenario.

Edit: On a side note I think for sure the Pacers are a real playoff threat with Haliburton and Mathurin growing along with Hield and Turner. The additions of Bruce Brown and Obi Toppin means they now have 3 of the NBA’s best players in transition. The Bulls also got healthier and made decent signings too. The Hornets got their scumbag star back. Magic have some upside, but I think the Nets got media preference here although they have a lot of depth.

Narratives this fanbase won’t be able to handle: if the team falls off a cliff without FVV, and Houston makes the playoffs.

If Scottie doesn’t improve. I’m kind of scared for him. I feel like he may be a bit nervous about it too. Stagnant Scottie will be crucified on this board, on X, and IRL.

If the team does well and Siakam makes all NBA.

It’s kind of wild how this year the Raptors can “lose” by winning. We win, make playoffs, supermax Siakam, the fanbase won’t be happy.

If we lose and don’t convey our pick and then get a mid player out of the draft, give the Spurs next year’s pick and it turns out to be an awesome draft people will be pissed. But it might be the move, because then at least the fanbase would have another Barnes tier prospect to believe in, since the belief in Scottie is waning. It’s completely gone if he’s the same Barnes, IMO.

The worst one would be the top lol. IDK how you guys would be able to reconcile that one lol

  14. LEXX911

LOL. How are we worse than last year? We only lose FVV and guys didn’t have any chemistry and we still 41-41. Siakam, OG, Barnes and other guys are going to improve again this year.

  15. jamiecballer

Only in this sub do you lose one of the better guards in the NBA and people can’t comprehend how youve gotten worse

  16. CaraHoy

Taking the over is almost always a good bet. FVV had basically a neutral impact at best last year, probably tending toward negative most nights. He was taking around 6 horrible 2pters a night, tanking his efficiency but more negatively affecting team chemistry which was already set up to be bad with the contract situation and Nurse’s win-now rotation mindset. Pascal will be on a mission, OG will for better or worse inherit a lot of those bad shots Fred was taking, and Scottie will be much more of a focus and there’s no reason to think he won’t take advantage. There’s also not many reasons to think the bench players will all step up but it’s likely one or two of them do, so that’s probably a wash. Barring a big trade another .500 season is likely, but this time it will be more watchable.
