With so much talk about who will get to play this year and how much, I thought it would be helpful to put together a spreadsheet to calculate exactly that. I made my own assumptions, and the screenshot below shows the results. I think this indicates just how difficult it is going to be to find minutes for the Thunder’s fringe players.

**You can copy or download the spreadsheet and enter your own assumptions by going here** \–>

And then clicking File –> Make a copy, or File –> Download.
Enjoy!

Yeah, I’ve done this same sort of thing, and it’s very difficult to find minutes for everybody who deserves them. I think it’s probably wise for fans to enter this season with the understanding that the rotations will likely change dramatically from game to game, depending on matchups and to make sure everybody gets at least a little run.
I genuinely think there are only four players (Shai, Giddey, JDub, Chet) on the team whose playing time will remain consistent every game, with a fifth (Dort) being mostly consistent but dropping some games depending on the situation. Everyone else’s minutes will fluctuate, especially at the start of the season. But I don’t think there’s anyone on the team who finishes the season with zero minutes played (barring injury, of course), even the two-way guys.
