Jimmy has a high probability of retiring with the most top 100 playoff games by game score in NBA History. His career ranking needs to be critically reevaluated when it’s all said and done.

I think right now he’s done enough that he won’t be left off the 100th Anniversary Team, but he’s also being rated below guys he’s better than because he never got to play with another legitimate superstar (Embiid isn’t a superstar in the playoffs), let alone Top 20 all time guys like KG that helped guys like Pierce get a ring after not even being able to carry teams into the playoffs (Jimmy has never been on a sub .500 team, despite playing on the Wolves and shitty Bulls rosters).

Those playoff averages are a bit misleading considering Pierce already finished his career and had the stats suffer on the decline

Jimmy’s very quietly had an amazing career – Pierce is the better scorer, but Jimmy has him beat in every other category, and Jimmy is a pretty decent scorer.

Its not something we often think about, mostly cause Pierce does have nostalgia on his side – but Jimmy has a very very solid case here and while most people would disagree on face value, once you think about its something that kinda makes sense and I think something most non Heat/Jimmy fans will have to come to accept

Jimmy butler starting to become overrated

My friend just sent my a video about him and said Pierce is arguable top 10 all time. Fuck no. I can get to 9 SFs before I’d even consider putting him in the top 10 SF list.

Bron, Melo, Jimmy, KD, Bird, Dr. J, Pippen, Elgin Baylor, Wilkins

of course this is in a heat subreddit . stay mad

The playoff stats are kinda unfair since Pierce’s stats from the later part of his career are probably weighing that down. Also being on a “super team” definitely contributes to his numbers not being as high as they could have been.

You say that like Jimmy is a scrub

I hate Paul pierce. But to be far, those points per game are like the same thing if you factor in pace of play.
