I remember earlier in the season people were saying Trae not having spacing was not in direct correlation to his shitty start. šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

He adjusted the best he could though!

We desperately need some shooting. Either JJ steps up his 3 pointer or we play AJ more

He missed Red Velvet is what it was. And JCā€™s 3 not being what it has been.

  4. Feel like all of us probably couldā€™ve guessed this without seeing the stats, relative to the rest of the league we were probably the team with the 3rd or 4th worst spacing vs being one of the best in the past few seasons (even during the dark days of nate offense)

Itā€™s no surprise that when we traded for saddiq & once he was able to finish games over JC Trae splits went up the 2nd half of the season

The spacing was bad last year, but you can also say that Trae was shooting like shit. And Trae is the max player here. Its on him to help overcome deficiencies of the team. And he didnā€™t do that with his shooting.

Not surprising, it’s why I was fairly interested in flipping DJM this off-season. The pairing is only going to flourish if either Trae develops an off-ball game or DJM becomes an above average 3point shooter.

Also why I wasn’t big on the Siakam trade if it didn’t involve sending DJM out.

For the record I do like DJM, I’m okay with giving the pairing more time after the contract extension, just expected him require a max.

This gonna improve with no JC Iā€™m calling it

We didn’t have Bogi for 22 games and Bey was a nice addition later in the season. Starting with both of them this season is going to be great.

Fun fact: Bae shot .345 from 3 in Detroit and then .470 in Atlanta. That’s quite a jump.

Given the switch from Huerter to DJM and JCā€™s shooting falling off a cliff last season this isnā€™t surprising. Inserting Bey into the starting lineup should help alleviate this quite a bit, but that obviously comes with its own set of issues on the boards and on the defensive end. As others have said, for this team to reach its potential weā€™ll need to see jumps from JJ as a shooter or AJ on the defensive end. I think Snyder will be a huge improvement over McMillan in generating optimal looks for our guys as well.
