RJ Barrett has been one of the hardest working Knick players this offseason, participating in a number of workouts with other NBA players and select workouts with trainer Drew Hanlen. However, thanks to a recently shared video, we see RJ’s jump shot has greatly improved over what we have seen the last few years. When it comes to RJ? With me? I’m not predicting anything. He’s gotta prove himself as people doubt him because of his crazy inconsistency. 5 good games with 1 great game then 5 games where he’s just straight trash, can’t have that.
Right now I feel more confident in Grimes and Quickley improving than RJ.
The one thing I’m expecting from RJ as of right now? Is to get traded down the line.
i'm praying rj can show us what we had seen in the playoffs and improve, imagine an improved rj, brunson, healthy randle grimes, quickly , im getting excited!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully he has been working on finishing strong at the rim as well

Still hoping and praying for major development from RJ. I hope he does it but I just don’t thing he has “that” in him. Average ball player. I’m a Knick fan but I have to realistic.

With all due respect …plz don't start this again. If he starts a cold streak then we wanna trade him again.
He needs to tighten his dribble so he can pop the mid Range jumper consistently. That will help the team more. We have three point shooters and RJ has mid range tools to open up defenses for cuts to the basket or passes to open outside shots. He's better when he drives and passes. He can really open up the Defense with a better dribble and pop.
Too much is being made of his shooting mechanics. Where is the difference @ in his release point, if any? Is he shooting more on the way up or @ the peak of his jump? How much confidence does he have in this "new" motion/release point? JMO
The effort is a good start. One area of concern is he doesn't have any much lift. It's even noticeable when he dunks the ball. Consider how that lack of lift will work out with a st who is taller with a length.

RJ is a beast
His shot looks fluid in a practice gym with nobody guarding him. No bright lights ir screaming fans either. We"ll see when the season starts
Rj just needs to make one more shot a quarter. That pushes his shooting percentage and scoring average into elite levels. The new shooting mechanics give me confidence this is more than possible. I'm buying all RJ stock this year and I am holding…
