Lol I don’t get it? I didn’t say it but I was thinking it. So the reporter read your mind?

  2. R-U-G-I-D

This is all good practice for him to learn how to handle the media, eventually he’ll be a Laker and it’ll get worse.

  3. I havent seen the video of him saying also, so maybe reporter just paraphrased in a wrong way?

    > On Thursday, Edwards said Kerr had called him before the start of camp and “he was telling me about coming off the bench.
    >
    > “I mean, of course I wasn’t cool with it,” Edwards said. “If that’s what it takes, I mean, I am willing to do it, but nah, I’m never cool with that. … He said Dwyane Wade came off the bench when Kobe played. I was like, all right, we don’t have a Kobe, but all right. But it was cool.”

“I was like” could mean “I said” or “I was thinking.”

The Athletic article doesn’t report that he actually said it, but their [tweet](https://twitter.com/joevardon/status/1694692529852342374) promoting the article says it was Edwards’ “reply.”

He’s right though, they’re losers lol

The Athletic is garbage. All the beat writers working for athletic are one of the worst of the worst. They’re a small company, so they try to make whatever story out of their buttcheeks, to get clicks and views.

Basically 99% LYING and making up fictional stories, with 1% of some truth added somewhere in between. That’s enough to brain wash people, because people these days would swallow and believe whatever they want to believe. Juicier the better.. It doesn’t matter if the whole thing is false or not

  7. ProfessorTicklebutts

He said it. He is just a team guy and doesn’t want to come off as being a problem.

    He’s also correct.

This is such a non-story my biggest takeaway here is the 2%

lmao Ant is like god damn these reporters 😂

I was going to say – he has the alpha mentality to think that but actually saying it to a coach was surprising lol. Especially given how vets and Finch talks about how coachable he is and how he listens.

We just getting revenge for speaking on Bo Cruz family how you did in that Adam Sandler movie.

If someone is telling me a story or recounting an exchange and they go “and i was like” im gonna assume they said what they said

surely its not a crazy leap or assumption to think that

    This is dangerous for democracy

Ants a great dude, playing with other (current -and future) greats. This is how a leader should respond to not make it seem like you’re putting others down or that you’re better than the team. It’s team USA vs everybody

“I was like blah blah blah” usually means “I said blah blah”.

So if he told the reporter “Kerr told me Wade came off the bench behind Kobe and I was like alright, but none of these are Kobe” then it sure sounds like he was telling the reporter that was his response to Kerr.

  17. cola5231

The urge he had to resist to call the media gay can be felt in his voice Lmaoo
