    Either would be fine as an end of bench guy (youthful upside vs. veteran leadership), but the Lakers are clearly hoping to find an actual rotation piece, like Wood or Biyombo.

    People said the same thing about McGee when he first came to the Lakers. They were calling him washed on the Warriors. McGee only good with Bron.

    Mcgee would be a underrated signing he will be able to take any role and he can help jaxson hayes be a better rim protector and shot blocker and will help the young guys have a better understanding with things.

    JaVale would be a good signing by the Lakers. There’s slim pickins at the center and power forward position. You not going to get a go to top player on a vet’s minimum. So I say sign McGhee he’s going to play behind Jaxson Hayes and Garuba if Christian Wood is not a option.

    Literally EVERYTHING you said about McGee can be applied to another former Lakers center. Lakers fan only think about the name and what these guys did for us in 2020 but never actually think about the fact that it’s been 3 years since then and both of those bigs aren’t what they were in 2020. 🤷‍♂️💯

    Sign both of. Em. We play the young 1evey game. Use McGhee when. Playing big line upay back up center. Like 10 to 12 minutes a game. I think that be a role he can master.

    McGee is still a good defender. I would sign him over Biyombo or Garuba. We need a vet to groom Hayes as well.

    We’ve won with him and he’s a good vet to have in the locker room and gives us some comfort incase AD or even Hayes becomes injured ❤

    Good Jared Dudley type role player. Brings a positive attitude and would love to see him take Jaxon under his wing. If Jaxon does well this season he could very well become part of our young core going forward post Lebron era
