The NBA Have Done The Raptors A Huge Favor…

The Raptors schedule was released and we have some exciting matchups this season. Statistically, the Raptors will have to do the least travelling compared to all the other teams in the NBA. This is opposite to what the Raptors Organization is used to and should allow our players more rest time instead of travel time.

Which game are you most excited about?

  1. From the standpoint of maximizing a TV audience (which is a network’s primary goal when considering what games to air), there are good reasons to not regularly select the Raptors for U.S. national TV broadcasts. One is that the vast majority of their fans live in Canada and will not count towards U.S. TV ratings. The NBA’s national games (not counting NBA TV broadcasts, which are national, but not in the massive audience sense) air on ESPN, TNT and ABC; the first two channels are not available in Canada. Unless the Raptors become must see TV that won’t change. Does not help Ad revenue either. Same thing happens with other Canadian sports teams even when they are killing it ex. Blue Jays.

  2. Good news to hear and great that your channel is keeping up on this info. We need all the breaks we can get. Now would be great to hear if someone in the league spoke to the Refs about evening up the calls situation so that we can get to the free throw line our fair share of times.
