hes not going to get a chance regardless of how good or bad he is. Kerr wont play him. the only way he gets significant minutes is if something terribly goes wrong like looney or draymond going down. maybe he might be our Brock Purdy. most likely not tho…
I gotta say I wish we'd grabbed Whitmore over Podz… But I'm glad we snagged TJD. Looks like an immediate 2way impact player for the 2nd unit, especially running with CP3.
TJD is needed to give Loon a break. Loon needs less minutes. He might work well with CP3 too. He fits the system except the spacing. So, he could be Loon 2.0 in maybe 3 years which will be huge but the Dubs still need a legitimate big for the ADs of the League. Very excited for him.
Stop stop! I'm tired of all this talk about steal. He has played two games I hope he does but reality Stop! I've heard this with McCaw, Bell, Pascal, Baldwin, Rollins, sure someone is going to say but, what but! Can we wait until they play!
I don't think he's going to shine as instantly as some people seem to think. All that shot blocking and dunking was against smaller, slower players than he will face in the league. He and the team should keep their expectations and his role in check in his first season. Offensively he's going to need a midrange jumper and the ability to finish with both hands, currently he really only finishes with his left. give him spot minutes where it makes sense and try and get him in the pick and roll with CP3 to maximise his impact in the few minutes he will get.
The warriors don't need another 3 point shooter what the warriors need is a player like TJD's dad Dale Davis was an enforcer that protected Reggie Miller that rebounds and defends basically they need a faster Kevin looney
