The Dame Lillard Sitdown: Miami Heat still in control Made by Headliner

Dame Lillard finally sat down with a reporter — in this case, Marc Spears — and acknowledged he made a trade request. He also reiterated that he wanted to be with the Miami Heat. Ethan Skolnick and Greg Sylvander discuss the ramifications.

  1. This TEAM even WITHOUT Dame CAN win a TITLE…It is ALL about HEALTH in the PLAYOFFS Jimmy's ANKLE and Tyler's HAND, which of COURSE was NEITHER of their FAULT, did US in AGAINST the Colorado Nuggets.

  2. I'm so tired of this Dame talk we have an excellent team y ruin it we have potential in jovic and Jaques stop being fan boys and talk logic dame is not coming over here I hope he doesn't our team won't be as good but keep doing ur thing in playing fantasy basketball

  3. Florida Man says "Maybe I'm a Heat homer.." – you literally have a video discussing which Team USA player would be a good fit for Miami, yeah you're a homer with delusion like that 😂😂😂

  4. Yal slippin said they spoke in vegas that didnt happen this pod sounds like barbershop talk now no sources no real information

  5. Lol, sure Jan. Does Miami seem in control? PDX will either hold Dame, or trade him elsewhere if the Heat don't improve the offer. And the Heat are not good enough, or lucky enough to get back to Eastern Conference finals, let along NBA championship without him. PDX is just as likely to hold onto him until December, or trade him to someplace like Toronto, if Miami doesn't get serious. And that would be, at a minimum…the 2 unprotected firsts, plus the OKC first, plus any first y'all get in a trade for Herro, and a young player out of that, along with JJJ, Jovic, and Duncan Robinson, + pick swaps. Otherwise its walk-away for PDX. Want Dame? Don't blame you, but without a serious offer, then it won't happen.

  6. I actually think Dame should go to camp and make it a very uncomfortable environment in a professional way. Agreeing with Portland to send him home would only make the trade talks drag longer and they would feel less pressure to move forward. I say Dame go to Portland camp and put that pressure on them, don't allow them to send you home, because at the end of the day, they both have to agree that he's going to stay home. The team by themselves can't just make him stay home or not play.

  7. Cronin has been jerking Dame around for years promising him a win now team and giving him the opposite. Now Cronin wants to sit on his hands and hope a better offer shows up. So this interview is Dame letting Cronin know things aren't ok and won't be as long as he's on the team.

  8. the PR layer is getting thick in Portland. I'm now hearing Blazers looked great last season (that's a lie), and Blazers without Lillard will dramatically improve and become a playoff team next year. (wtf? lol)

  9. lol i knew everyone was gonna take a couple lines from the interview which literally gave us no new info or anything we didnt already know and some how turn that intno articles, pod episodes, analyst tweets etc lol slow month

  10. Has Five Reason Sports requested Dame for an interview? You can ask the questions that needs to be asked to elicit Dame’s feelings about every aspect of it all while navigating Dame’s need not to disparage the Blazers organization.
