Who is your favorite Celtics draft pick that just wasn’t able to pan out?

I loved the RJ Hunter pick and wanted him to work so bad for us. His summer league highlights had me convinced he’d be a quality role player with us for years.

terry for me. he did kinda work out for us in that one playoff run but then got minimized and traded.

Obviously, the ugliest and saddest thing to say would be “Len Bias.”

I wanted to believe Michael Smith could be the next Larry Bird

I think if RJ Hunter came into the league as a rookie right now, he would absolutely get regular season minutes on a roster somewhere.

I just wanted Tremont to succeed man

justin reed… dude just seemed like a real one. i remember watching him playing D in his unorthodox way and he was just super intense, and playing with 100% effort. there was one game he locked up kobe in his prime. man i wanted to see him pan out. RIP

I thought Carsen Edwards had Lou Williams type of potential as a 6th man, especially after he hit like 8 or 9 threes in a preseason game. He just never could really put the ball in the basket at the NBA level and didn’t have much in the way of other skills to lean on.

Aaron Nesmith- Not that he’s already a bust. He looks promising in indiana. Didn’t pan out with us though. Would’ve been great for our wing depth rn.

Marshon Brooks, Jeff Green and Jared Sullinger – There was a point in time right after the KG-Pierce trade when I believed that Rondo, Avery Bradley, Marshon Brooks, Sully and Jeff Green would be the focal point of the rebuild. 😂 While Jeff Green panned out to be a solid role player, I legit had hopes for him to be a star when he was traded back to us.

Mine is probably Ante Zizic. I didn’t think the ceiling was very high, but I thought the floor was a totally reliable backup big that could protect the paint and rebound. I figured he’d be in the league for 10+ years no question.

Objectively speaking if Tacko Fall panned out i don’t think it would even be close….

I watched Carson Edwards dunk over James Harden and thought he was gonna be a star

Delonte West would’ve been a star if it wasn’t for the drugs.
