  1. You've talked a couple times now about the concept of trading for Lavine not because he's the next big piece but rather because he can then be traded for the next big piece and it's a better asset in a trade of that ilk. I understand what you mean but I just don't understand where in the history of trades for stars recently you're seeing that as a pattern? The only one I can think of was Kawahi Leonard for Derozan or maybe IT for Kyrie Irving in Boston and both of those situations were fairly unique. The much more common trade construction recently has been picks+youngish players with potential+ salary filler for star player. I wouldn't want to give up assets for LaVine if the thought process is then to attach more assets to him for a star that we really want. The next Jazz trade for a star will be picks + filler + recent draft pick like Hendricks or George I feel like.

Thanks for the show. Loved your guest. FYI Ben's twitter handle is wrong in the video. It's BensHoops not BenHoop!

  2. Hey David, I was looking into your question that you have been consistently asking this off-season about 26, 36, or 46 wins this year. Last year, we had 37 wins, and since the 83-season, we have only had three seasons under that total. So less than 10% of our seasons have had that bad of a season, and none were repeating years. But your options include 2 out of three in that category. What is your reasoning when jazz history states otherwise? I think a better question would be 34, 41, 48.

  3. The problem is that Raptors overvalue OG a lot. It would cost us more than what we are willing to offer.
