The Boston Celtics are nearly done building their team for the 2023-24 season, with one or perhaps two more signings for deep rotation players still left undone. But for all intents and purposes, we have a pretty good idea about the team that the Celtics will be fielding for their campaign to come, and similar assessments can be made about most of the other teams in the NBA for the season ahead.
With the 2023 offseason rapidly drawing to a close as training camps are now weeks rather than months away, we can begin to project how the 2023-24 season will go for Boston and their peers, so to that end, the hosts of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast linked up with Celtics Blog’s Trevor Hass to try and predict how the Celtics’ season will go at a granular level.

My projection is 56-26. They won’t win the in season tourney. They will be the 1 seed in the playoffs. They will make the finals. All these I am sure. Will they win the finals? I don’t have a projection. It depends who they are playing I guess. But they will reach the finals for sure and will be in good health. 💪☘️
I won’t tolerate The Derrick White slander. He’s bulking up because bulking up strengthens your game overall. Not because of Trash Butler. As a matter of fact, Trash Can Butler got a few buckets but then Derrick figured him out and he stopped seeking out White in switches. Nobody wants to hear your negative pessimistic points Justin, I never touched a ball before but I know ball, Quinn. Weak.
Derrick White is better than Smart, he’s going to be better than Smart next year and everyone who knows basketball KNOWS the same.
Payton Pritchard is DONE. He’s a decent player and can shoot but he’s not good enough to be on OUR team. He doesn’t fit. To name Walsh as the worst defender to protect your Payton pick for player stepping up the most this year Quinn, is despicable and shows you’re over thinking this basketball thing. I don’t even want to see Payton this year.
