> This offseason offered another taste of the business of the sport, where Valančiūnas’ name featured prominently in New Orleans’ trade conversations. “You can’t be safe all the time and sitting and know where you’re going to be the next day,” Valančiūnas said. “You have to expect everything. There’s no hard feelings. Trades happen. It’s not like an unusual thing.”

New Orleans was most notably linked to Cleveland All-Star center Jarrett Allen and the Pistons’ bouncy big man Isaiah Stewart. 1. This is the part of the off-season where everyone over values all of their assets. I’d be extremely surprised if Jonas wasn’t the starting center when the season begins. Post Trade Deadline is a different story.

I like Allen and Stewart. I’m not trading Jonas for him. Remember the issue with pairing Steven Adams with Z and BI wasn’t his lack of outside shot, it was his free throws.

I’d expect talks to pick up a little more closer to training camp and if no offers come to fruition then hold him until the deadline. Love JV.
