  1. A Clax-ton of Respect!!!! Much deserved, dealing with all the trials and distractions since he’s been with the Nets.

  2. Like I've said before Claxton has the intangibles to follow the path Giannis took to become a complete player in this league 🔥…

If he can add a jump shot and potentially a three point shot as well Claxton could become a true force in the league…..

  3. When he went against the likes of Joel Embiid and Jokic, I thought he was going to get bullied, but Nick held his own. Made me a believer.

  4. Top 10 to 15 centre. I still think they need to choose between Simmons and Claxton. I think his next contract will be around Cam Johnson contract. My only issue is Rebounding when he plays some of the bigger Centre's. He got bullied in Sacramento, Portland & Chicago last season.

  5. I like Patrick Gardner's game a lot better than Nick Claxton's game. He's a true center (6'11, 245 ibs) and received an Exhibit 10 contract from the Nets this summer. He's more versatile than Claxton even at this point in his career. Hopefully, the Nets can develop him ASOP and put him in the rotation. He'll be good insurance in the event that Claxton want ridicules money in his contract extension and we have to trade him.

  6. I have always been a huge Claxton fan. His growth last year was remarkable and I’m interested to see what he brings to the table this year. Claxton had a bit of an outside shot in college with GA and he has been working on that this offseason. I expect his offense to take a step forward this year. He is an elite defender already. Claxton, Simmons, and Bridges are an incredible defensive big 3. I am very much looking forward to watching them in action this year!

  7. If Claxton just started working on his perimeter shooting, after being in the league for several years, I guest it's better late than never. His free throw shooting is a work in progress, also. Will it be enough to make a difference next season? I doubt it but we'll see.

  8. Claxton was our starting center last season. The Nets were also one of the worst rebounding teams in the league last season. How much of that is his fault is debatable.

  9. If Claxton simply repeat what he did last year, he’s $100 million contract as if he can show that he can be more of an authentic threat. Then you’re looking at a lot more money. And I’m not talking about scoring 30 a game I’m just talking about can he hit two open three-pointers a game. Can he hit an open Jay from the corner of the paint.

To me Nic Claxton has the highest ceiling on the roster, and I am very hopeful that the nets will finally allow him to develop in the direction that the coach at Georgia was taking him before he came to the Nets, which was a playmaking big not just some rim running guy. I believe in a lot of ways the nets have curtailed his versatility over the years in order for him to be a complementary piece to guys like KD which has hindered his offensive development. He is much more offensively skilled then he has shown in the NBA.

  10. Looking deeper into the stats is key. People tend to focus on the broad numbers and there are so many players with big stats that are empty calories. I remember Enes Kantor on the Knicks averaged a double-double but was a turnstyle on D, mainly in losing efforts.

  11. Claxton and Simmons on the court creates a spacing issue. Nets need to trade one of them. My vote is Claxton. Ben is simply a better player

  12. Great show as usual. (even solo). I am so glad you dug deeper into the #s. Some of our fans were calling for him to be traded for what they thought would be an upgrade. I never understood why and these stats validate my eye test. Plus, he's thin but hes not afraid as his Giannis bump and Embid dustups showed. We need to keep that same energy going. People haven't been respectful of our physicality since Kmart.
