Dwight Howard returned to Orlando to be with teammates and coaches for a celebration of life ceremony for Stan Van Gundy’s wife Kim this weekend. He left with some heartfelt words for his teammates and for the city of Orlando. For the first time, he seemed to admit some fault in his departure and extend the olive branch to the city.

Dwight is the greatest magic player of alltime 8 years of dominance
My team that I have rooted for an extremely long time, had to eat shit for his ego. He created this 10 year mess, and it did not have to happen. Won ZERO championships with the Magic. I say NO, attaching him to anything Magic is a disgrace. Go call the Lakers…. Go call the Chinese. Just go!
Indecisiveness and desire to please everyone was spot on. A sad ending to the relationship but such a small part. The good times were still some of the best for Magic fans.
No thank you. Dwight left us and it was hurtful and we've since moved on.
No thanks. Don't need that rotten apple spoiling our new bunch.
Nah, I have forgiven him. Super nice of him to come support Stan but also too big of a distraction. If they want to do a 1 day contract and let him retire thats fine.
Dwight out here tryna poke boys in the booty. No NBA team will touch him.
I'm as big a D12 fan as there can be in the Magic fandom. He undoubtedly deserved to be on the NBA 75 list. He was the best player at his position for the better part of a decade.
With that said, I do not want Dwight Howard on this team.
Im a die hard Magic fan, and i do not oppose the idea of Dwight playing for Orlando again. If his number goes up i will congratulate him. He cant undo the Dwightmare he put this team through, however he did breath life back into this city. I wish he would have won a championship with this team so he always hold that over Shaq's head. However, i cant hate the guy. Its Juss bitter sweet.
I saw this and thought it was just fake news. I know there is mixed emotions within Magic Nation about Dwight myself included but… Dwight brought excitement to Orlando and a huge reason there's a "Eastern Conference Champions" banner in the rafters.
More importantly his role actually fits this team right now. A veteran with a high basketball IQ.
Goga Bitadze or Dwight? Easy answer.
Howard paid the price in terms of legacy taking the game for granted because he was never again a star after leaving.
Top 75 I do feel he was snubbed but his attitude and immaturity played a role in that as well.
No. He can fuck off. Stop having nostalgic feelings for a guy who helped push this franchise into the longest darkest period of irrelevance it's ever seen now that he's washed up, old and is desperate to make good.
I agree…he's from Atlanta, so he can go home. I never wanna see him in an Orlando uniform again nor does he deserve to be honored in any way. He made his bed. He can lie in it.
