  1. SC30 IS THE BEST POINT GUARD, MAGIC JOINED SUPERSTARS. CURRY MADE SUPERSTARS SHINE BRIGHTER WHILE ALSO GOING SUPERNOVA!

  2. Numbers don't lie. Neither does geometry. Steph changed the geometry, trigonometry, and topology of the game.

  3. “Yes.” Seriously tho why do basketball players feel like they have to have no humility? It’s very different in this sport compared to others with countless examples.

  4. Magic and Kareem are both top 10 players and they won their 5 championship together and Kareem have 1 championship without Magic but Magic has 0 without Kareem.., Kobe and Shaq had their 3 and then Kobe had 2 without him and Shaq only had 1 without Kobe. Curry has 2 Championship without KD while KD has 0 without Curry. And what makes it interesting is that KD has never been in discussion for top 10 all time while Curry has been even before he won his 4th ring.

  5. You also haft to put inconsideration that he has the unanimous mvp and if magic was better he should of won it right

  6. notice theres not a single person in this comment section mentioning defense, its half of the game for fucks sake

  7. Something nobody wants to admit is that Magic dominated when the pool of talent was smaller.
I have kids in basketball development leagues in elementary and the talent level today is astonishing compared to when I was growing up.
Today, thousands of kids are being developed all around the world, much more so than Magic's era.
Magic was a shark in a pool compared to Steph being a killer whale in the Pacific Ocean.

  8. Pretty transparently biased arguments here. Constantly bringing up that Magic had Kareem but somehow forgetting that Steph had a team that set an NBA record for regularly season wins with 2 other all stars and then added a 3rd the next year. Claiming that the gap between their career stats is trivial (while cherry picking the one stat that is the closest) and then claiming that similarly close stats for the top 3 years are miles apart.

They were both the greatest PG of their era. Anything beyond that can't be proven about two guys that never played each other.

  9. I'm taking Steph. If we put him in that traditional PG role which he played under Mark Jackson iso and pick n' roll system he'd be able to put up high # assists. In the 2013-14 season, he averaged 24 and 9. The year before he averaged 23 and 7 that was after coming back from injury and after Ellis was traded giving him the reigns of the franchise. So Steph averaged 24 and 8 in both seasons as this 'traditional PG' and was still very EFFICIENT AND ELITE AT ALL 3 LEVELS!!! Steph could pass and easily playmake, in the pick n' roll, fastbreak, on and off the ball. Steph can also play off the ball, and average 30 and 7, which he did and still be equally efficient at all 3 levels consistently lol. Magic is a better passer. Steph's a better playmaker, cause he can play on the ball, or use his gravity. Either way it's an assist. Steph is just more versatile and skilled IMO. Tbh Magic being 6'9 while in the 80's helped rs. Steph had to face prime CP3, Russ, Dame, Nash, Irving, Deron Williams and etc man. Now there's Murray, Luka, Ja, Garland, Foxx and Trae coming? It's far more skilled competition!! Steph is getting every ELITE PG best shot too, and he's still the best PG in the NBA.

  10. I don't normally agree with the analysts,
    BUT, the one point I do agree with them is;
"Steph is a "2" masquerading as a point gaurd.

He is NOT a true point gaurd; so that should end the debate right there.

This isn't saying that Steph can't or doesn't play point,
but the job is mainly performed by Draymond,
which makes him so valuable to the Warriors.

He does all of the dirty work (pun intended)
and gets Steph the looks he needs.

If Steph was a true point with no Draymond,
I don't think Steph and the Warriors would've had the same success.

  11. PEOPLE WONT ADMIT LAKERS HAVE ALL ALL STAR FIRST 5 BUT SO IS THEIR COMPETITION CELTICS HOWEVER MAGIC DIDNT LEAD THE SCORES FOR MOST PART HAVING KAREEM AROUND HE DOESNT NEED TO BUT SCURRY ACHIEVE 4 RINGS WITH LESSER ALL STARS AND HE CO LEAD IT SO BASICALLY THERE AINT NO RIGHT OR WRONG ON THIS DEBATE BOTH ARE GREAT I BELIEVE THEY BOTH CARRIED THE BEST PG TORCH IT IS A TIE CURRY LEFT MAGIC IN THE OFFENSE NOT BECAUSE MAGIC CANT SCORE BUT HE IS PASSING MORE HE DONT NEED TO SCORE CLOSEST WOULD BE IS JASON KIDD

  12. Curry is a guard not a true point guard. Magic is #1 and ur data proves that

  13. You're wrong. Magic is better than Steph and I love Steph. Most of you were too young to watch Magic and you're basing your opinions just on stats instead of watching what he did and how important he was. And I was thinking your "Sheesh" shtick was getting old anyway. Unsubbed.

  14. Magic(with bird) saves the NBA but Curry revolutionaries on how basketball plays in the whole world. Literally the whole NBA adjusted to Curry not the other way around. Curry is the GOAT PG

  15. Not goin lie if magic had klay Thompson that can shoot with just as great accuracy as Steph we know who would be the goat and comparing curry saying prime lebron are you serious 11 scoring tiles he played with kd and won one and prime lebron he been in his prime his whole career just stop slurping curry

  16. And curry got drafted at 21 and magic made it to the all star team and he won finals mvp while he was 20 and playing center without Kareem and curry impact is shooting threees you do know if it wasn’t for Larry bird and magic Johnson the nba would of went bank rupt and there would be no nba so

  17. Starts the video saying that will do an unbiased analysis and once the data doesn't help his point proceeds just to count the numbers that help his opinion…I shouldn't even be surprised after the video where you put Steph over Jokic as the best current player, what a fanboy

  18. Another huge consideration that you didn't mention was the fact that even though Curry has less assists, his gravity because of the lethal jump shot of his makes his teammates open just as effectively as a magic assist

  19. It’s like magic is a cassette player and Steph is a smart phone. The magic prototype will likely never be successful again. You have to be able to shoot.

  20. Well thought-out argument.

I was a fan of Magic from his time at Michigan State. He was too good for his team. I watched him fire a cross-court pass to a teammate that bounced off the poor guy's chest. Right in the shooting pocket.

Only after he reached the NBA could Magic unleash his full skill set. And man, did he.

I loved that era. Kareem. Bird. So many other great players.

But I have to say this: today's league is better. Tougher. Talent is better distributed. Players are more athletic. Injury recovery is better. As great as Kareem was – make no mistake, he was the real deal – many of today's big men are stronger and space the floor better. And as good as Magic was on a fast break, he wasn't quite equal to more than one contemporary ball handler in this league.

    Including Steph.

Magic was a better defender; his length and quickness paid off.

But there has never been a better shooter in this league than Steph.

Both changed the league. Magic with his passing prowess dared players to up their passing games. Steph inspired a whole generation to get better at distance shooting.

It's as hard to settle this question as it is to settle any other argument between different eras. We all have our opinions.

But I'm choosing Steph. His peak against Magic's, both at their career bests, lets Steph edge ahead.

Too bad we can't look at plus-minus for both players. But back then, that stat wasn't tracked, I don't think.

  21. Magic and Curry are different type of point guards. Magic was more of a facilitator whereas Steph is more of a scorer seeking the 3 point shot at every opportunity. On an all time-team, it would be great to see them both in the same backcourt because of their different roles.

  22. Bro what is Steph supposed to say no to the best pg ever? Like huge respect to Steph for having competitive spirit he is the goat pg and he has to believe it that’s like asking Lebron are u good at basketball u have believe in yourself huge respect to Steph!

  23. Magic always played with a bunch of top notch teammates, including Kareem, Worthy, Byron Scott, A.C. Green, Jamaal Wilkes, Michael Cooper, Bob McAdoo, Mitch Kupchak, etc.
