Hyperbolic click bait title. The season hasn’t even started yet, but his future is dimming?

He’ll either play for the Sixers or get traded and play there. His future may be dimming bc he’s getting old but not bc he hasn’t been traded to the Clips by end of August.

    >His goal appears to be one last NBA payday, and with each day that passes without a Clippers trade, that goal becomes less and less realistic.

Yeah it’s more that his shot at a giant payday is growing dimmer, any team would pay him if the price was right

Almost like immediate, extreme reactions every time you’re even remotely dissatisfied might not get you where you want to be.

Harden is gonna go down as the ultimate cautionary tale for players not being able to handle everything themselves. You need a good support team around you.

The league is on vacation. At some point in the next few months, the right situation will emerge – either a team with expectations panics at an injury, a team gets a surprising hot start and decides to go all in, or another player decides they want out and it becomes a decent short term swap. He’s fine.

    > A younger Harden likely would have secured a trade to the Clippers by now because the Clippers would be so desperate to land a player of his caliber that they would offer the sort of draft capital Morey likely needs to make a deal.

The Clippers have “up to” 4 1st round picks until 2030 that they own. Trade wise they don’t have many players that make you salivate outside of their big 2, who of course would not be touched at all. Draft picks are cool to trade and all….but the 76ers have a reigning MVP alongside a few other talented players. I’m confident they want more than picks back.

This article’s title is awful. That quoted part took me clean out of it.
