Anthony Edwards | The Great Shooting Guard Family Tree

I had to talk about Anthony Edwards. This guy is incredible. I didn’t include any team USA talk because this video is more scripted and wanted to focus on how good he already is, what he has accomplished in the league, and of course how he stacks up with the EARLY CAREERS of the guard shooting guards of the past. I have to empathize that I’m not saying ANT is those guys, or will be better than those guys or whatever (though lets be honest this preface is going to be ignored lol). I’m merely comparing their trajectories. The Minnesota Timberwolves have to do everything they can to build around this guy. I’m actually talking myself into this team despite all the ups and downs of last year. The roster is full of good players and Ant is like 3 years ahead of his development curve. As someone once said….

“He’s The One”

  1. Before I get anymore "but what about Jerry West" (who is a legend), or any "you didn't mention insert up and coming young guard here in the video" comments

    1. This video is about Ant.

    2. I'm also talking about the shooting guards of the last 40+ years and how they connect to Ant.

  2. By the end of his career he will be over D-Wade all time on the court maybe not in the city he plays in I didn’t start watching bro fr til last year and it’s criminal how little attention he gets/has gotten

  3. That 3 year comparison at the beginning honestly made me a little lower on Ant. Wades stats being objectively better despite that era being much less efficient and having lower possessions really stands out.

  4. Ant man is coming people be very afraid he is about to be unguardable unstoppable and even more incredible that mamba mentality is on deck

  5. The Gobert move is a good way to lose for the wolves. I could be wrong but Gobert is awful and so is Kat. Not the guys you want on your team trying to win with possibly the best young player. It’s like zydrunas and Anderson verajao

  6. Ant is one of a kind. All the basketball players mentioned had to put on muscle. Abt is literally build different

  7. My favorite player right now its like hes a seasoned vet and every year he comes back with a new skill set
