Vooch has been ballin out in the fiba world cup for Montenegro. I would argue that we can't afford to lose any of our bigs in P Will Craig Drummond and especially Nikola. Hopefully Julian Phillips can put pressure on Billy to play him if someone isn't performing up to scratch.
I'd never rely on Vooch's 3s in the first half, but when its clutch time…I trust his 3's more than Zach's.
I think the Bulls cannot afford to lose Torrey Craig and Javon Carter to injuries, for a very simple reason.
We saw how bad the Bulls roster performed last year without those two.
So losing them would get us back to last year's roster…
He needs to lower his 3’s attempted per game game. 7+ on his efficiency is taking us out of the game sometimes. He’s dominant in the post and even the midrange he’s solid for the pick-n-pop
If Vuc misses any time this he bulls are fd with no lube, the bulls have 10 G’s on the roster, losing any G is replaceable
Lavine needs another All Star selection this season. It’s time to wake them back up 🔥 White needs to be included in the 6th man conversation. Williams needs to be more aggressive on offense and defense. Bulls as a collective need to establish a defensive identity. I expect Derozan to be dealt at the deadline if this season resembles anything like last season… Inconsistencies, failure to close games, Lavine not getting an All Star selection even when healthy, blown leads, losing to bad teams etc. Billy needs to be held accountable and put on the hot seat as well if you ask me.
I think losing Vooch to injury would be a big deal. Not so much because he's all that important to this team, but because we have no center depth behind him. I'm not terribly high on Vooch. Obviously we gave up way too much for him, but I also just don't love that he seems to lack heart. There are too many games where he just doesn't seem to be engaged.
Losing Vooch wouldn't be ideal, but mostly just because Drummond is our only true backup center. I like Drummond, but he probably shouldn't be playing more than 25 minutes a game (assuming he doesn't foul out before then). That leaves 23 minutes to have someone else at that spot. Knowing Billy, it would likely either be Pat or Julian Phillips, and that would probably be a nightmare.
So yes, while losing Zach, DeMar or even Caruso would be a big blow since all of those guys are far more impactful than Vooch, all of those guys are guards and this team has plenty to cover for them. Losing Vooch creates a black hole at center for 20+ minutes a game, and that would probably be too much to overcome most nights.
Vuc is very important, besides they need to play off him to get easier looks and better averages going forward
I think we all know it's Vooch! He's the only consistent player on this team! Also Vooch was the main guy in Orlando so that has to factor in

Honestly blowing them leads really hurt us.. they gotta keep those leads this season.. letting those games slip away can hurt the season. I need other guys to step up so Zach and Demar can play less minutes.
They should have gone for Bamba , Bol or wood in the off-season

Zach was not 100% until right before all star break, you can actually see the moment he got confidence back on his body the bulls stated winning. Also DeMar was not fully healthy at the end of the season. I agree that many players play injured but that does affect the team record, especially when players comeback from injury. If Zach was fully healthy since the beginning of the season that could have given the bulls a few more wins, specially in those blown leads.
Hot take, but I think the bulls are net better without Lavine. Literally same team minus him is better imo
Hoping we can sign Javale. Him and Drum are cheap solid backup centers although Andre is quite underpaid imo.
Vooch is so important. I just hate how he kinda shrinks and ducks his head whenever someone tries to score over him inside. But if we lose him, we're in huge trouble
We got Adama Sanogo, to back up Dre in that case, so it wouldn't be Julian Phillips or Pat.
