Dame Lillard saga: Is public perception pivoting toward Heat? | Five on the Floor

You hear it now from Nick Wright, Stephen A. Smith, Marc Spears and even some in Portland, that it’s time for the Trail Blazers to send Dame Lillard where he wants to go: Miami. Does that help or hurt the Heat? And could the Blazers be as stubborn as the Indianapolis Colts just were with Jonathan Taylor?

  1. U guys sound like a broken record screw dame our squad is money stop crying over an overrated player that doesn't play defense or won anything he's not heat culture dame is more like harden garbage no defense always searching for fouls keep jovic Jaques and herro don't give up the future for dame he sucks he only shoots can't play no defense

  2. Keep the team we have. We will be better than last year. We have a nucleus of talented youth..

  3. Seems pretty straight forward to me. Here's Five Reasons 😅

    1. He doesn't fit timelines of teams that have desirable stuff for Portland. Younger teams ain't blowing up their rebuilds..he narrows their windows too much.

    2. He won't stay with them..his reputation and track record shows he will make his way to Miami now or later (he's 10 toes down!) and GM's know that (too high a price for a unhappy rental).

    3. Portland will never get what they want due to the market…they need to read the room. No one else has or is coming. If they wanted a better trade they should have done it way sooner.

    4. Heat (EC Champs 🏆) are even better than last year now, they good either way (Herro and Robinson stay in trade rumours and are pros pros….)

    5. BUT that Portland locker room and team chemistry will be trash with Dame AND they will probably win too much and lose their pick to Chicago. I mean, good luck to Portland getting him to quietly sit again so they can tank for another 19 yr old. He's clearly done with that.

  4. So an "unknown executive" talks about how nobody is interested in Dame, so then why is this "unknown executive" so interested in talking about the situation? If it's such a non story, why does this "unknown executive" trying to involve himself in this non story?

And if this "unknown executive" is so willing to speak on the situation that he claims is a non story, surely that exec would know better than to falsely inflate Dame's so called injury history.

And not every sports market loves leaking potential trades the way the Florida market does.
