I wish we had an all time shooter like Buddy Hield.

Imo Buddy Hield is already one of the best shooters the league has ever seen, he just goes unnoticed because he’s played for bad and mid teams his entire career. He is overlooked despite being the only current player with any shot to break Stephs record. He is on an insane pace. I feel like a player like him would unlock this offense 10 fold.

Every team wants one of the best shooters of all time.

we have nothing Indiana would want. I would trade Allen and Okoro for him in a heartbeat but no team would trade Hield for Allen and Okoro – maybe Koby Altman would that. We do have an all time shooter in Mitchell though – Mitchell is definitely gonna go down as one of the best three-point shooters of all time. He gets underrated as a shooter a lot still. I guess he won’t get recognized like he should until he’s in a bigger market or wins a title – pretty sad how the media ignores elite players in small markets until they’re in a bigger spotlight.

Indiana really did get one over on us in the LeVert trade – truly was a shitty trade that gets worse as time goes on and better players get traded for similar or less packages, (Brogdon, Huerter, O’Neale, McCollum, etc).

Speaking of Indiana getting one over on a team: I know people think Sacramento made the right call with trading for Sabonis but trading an elite shooter and offensive player who is still three or so years away from his prime is a giant mistake. Haliburton who is a more valuable and better player – who also plays a more valuable position than a 7 foot bad defensive center – is a much worse trade for them than people give it credit. Especially since I see Haliburton as the better and easier piece to build around compared to Fox. Regardless of meaningless RS success, Sacramento is never going anywhere with their two best players being bad shooters and defenders. Haliburton and Keegan Murray would of been the better two to build around and them trading Fox and tanking for one more pick to add to Hali and Murray would have them in a better position right now. Ultimately they made a short-sighted move to make the playoffs and please their fanbase – kinda sounds similar to us with the LeVert trade and 2022 season, huh?
