The Charlotte Hornets Are About To SHOCK The NBA…

After 13 seasons, Michael Jordan’s reign of terror as the owner of the Hornets is over. The team went just 423-600 with MJ in charge, which was 26th in the NBA over that span. Whether you think he is the goat or not, he was not a good owner. So if we’re looking for optimism with the Hornets next season, him being out would be reason number one. But there’s more hope for Charlotte than people think. Many seem to assume they’ll be a bottom feeder in the East again next season, just as they were last year. Could that happen? Yeah, I wouldn’t rule it out. But I believe they’ll be better than these assumptions. They made the play-in tournament in both 2021 and 2022, before dipping down last season. But we have to ask ourselves, Why did that happen? LaMelo Ball, the franchise player, and a 22 year old all-star, played just 36 games last season. But before the injury, he was quietly having his best season yet. He averaged career highs with 23.3 points per game and 8.4 assists per game, as well as shooting 38% from three on nearly 11 attempts per game. He was one of the best shooters in the entire league. They were also without their second best player and LaMelo’s co-star in Miles Bridges, who was away from the team due to offcourt issues. He will return next season, likely serving a short suspension at the beginning. He broke out in 2022 with averages of 20 points per game and 7 rebounds, and his chemistry with LaMelo is obvious. So the two biggest reasons for the team’s slip last season have been resolved, and they come back to a better team than there was before last season. The Charlotte Hornets could be surprisingly good next season.

Think about subbing, I’m on the road to 10k!!!
