Good destination for him, AD can cover this cone on defense better than Dwight Powell
__john_cena__
I am not a fan of Wood at all, but AD is one of the maybe 2 or 3 guys in the league he might actually work next to.
billsfan13
I actually think he kinda sucks and will easily get played off the floor but whatever, best option we had, minimum salary, and adds a different dimension
Cul_what
Fuck it we can fix him lmao
XenaRen
Good deal for the Lakers, literally low risk high reward. His defense shouldn’t be too bad next to AD, if he can’t coexist with AD then he’s coming off the bench for 10-15MPG which isn’t too bad either.
vrkhfkb
Who’s playing center on the Mavs??
MrAppleSpoink
He’s on a minimum, essentially no risk with all sorts of upside.
torero15
Eh needed someone but can totally see this guy not working out
JilJungJukk
He’s a minimum, I am also letting y’all pessimism get to me.
*pls be good enough*

Congrats Lakers, y’all got another traffic cone❗️❗️❗️

Austin Reaves better take leadership and motivate his ass
WishyWashedup
It’s definitely an upgrade from Wenyan Gabriel
Phuddy
He’s the 14th man on an already super deep roster lol people in here acting like he will get huge minutes.
If he sucks he will sit.
CrypticPhage
How do the lakers still have money??

Wood is a better defender historically than he gets credit for. He was terrible last season defensively but he is not terrible defensively over the course of his career. He’s not really great at anything defensively but he’s not a disaster in any area either, when he’s right. He’s an OK defensive player and will be motivated. Offensively, he’s everything the Lakers needed off the bench. They needed more offensive firepower off the bench.
Wood should play well next to Bron, Vincent, or DLo. If they don’t really utilize his full range of skills offensively than I expect this to falter. We’ll see how Ham takes advantage of his diverse offensive skillset. Wood makes the Lakers a better team. They’re still a little short of the absolute best in the West more than likely but it’s not insurmountable at all and they will be a fantastic ball club this season.

Say what u want about the Lakers u cannot deny they are a very deep team: – Lebron (PF) – Rui (PF) – AD (C) – Hayes (C) – Wood (C) – DLO (PG) – Vincent (PG) – Hood (PG) – Reaves (SG) – Christie (SG) – Lewis (SG) – Vanderbilt (SF) – Prince (SF) – Reddish (SF)

Not a bad move tbh. Lebron might kick is ass into gear and address his shitty attitude.

christian wood stans overwhelmed r/mavericks last season and made it seem like Jason Kidd was benching prime Shaq

If Lebron cant fix him, its probably over for Wood’s career
