Saw this on the pistons reddit and saw the majority of them say we were at the bottom or “clearly in last place”. I know it’s biased and we don’t have as much media coverage but i think we are a top 4 core in the league. What do you think?

That’s because our young core hesn’t really been a core: Williams only started 17 games, LaMelo only played 36 games last season, and I guess Miles and PJ have outgrown the ‘young core’ moniker since they’re 25 now.
Saw this too on the pistons sub… reading it made me sad
If Branden Miller is a solid starter then we’re middle of the pack. At this point it’s too early, but I could see us going either way.
Only OKC’s is better. They are the only other core that has an all star level player and actual good pieces around them. Hornets, Portland and OKC are the only ones with even a Play-In appearance.
Also, Pistons or Rockets are last imo. They have like 1 winning player between the two lol.
I think ours is clearly better than Detroit, Houston and Portland
I mean that trio is heavily reliant on Miller and Williams panning out, so I get why people don’t rank it too highly.
There is only one player here who’s led his team to a winning record , just saying
People haven’t seen Miller play, haven’t seen Lamelo play consistently in a while, and Williams came on late last year. They’re flying under the radar for sure, but this should he a season that brings them to peoples’ attention.
