Canadian Mavs fan here. Let me give you two truths:
1. Luka complains too much
2. All Raptors fans are annoying
I'm a Luka fan but disappointed in how he ended the game. He bailed out from his team at a time when they needed him the most, similar to how Dwight Howard purposely got himself ejected from the Lakers in the playoffs. Not to mention a disrespect to the thousands of local fans who paid good money to see Luka live in probably his one and only appearance in Manila. I guarantee you almost all of the fans in the arena are rooting for Luka similar to how Filipino fans adored Kobe.
Luka ejected? Shocking! Guess he hasn't matured any.
Yes he need to stop crying for calls, he needs to rely less on refs

Yes the game wasn’t officiated well. And yes, Luka was complaining way too much (he usually does imo). BOTH THINGS can be true. Yes, Luka let his team down by getting ejected, and no, that doesn’t make him a borderline top 20 player in the league (like someone else commented here. This is literally a Mavs channel and you came here just to argue and talk crap. Mavs fans, don’t even give this guy the time of day. He wants all your negative attention because that’s probably all he can get.)
I love how we like to act like all these things are mutually exclusive. It’s not an either/or. Luka has the skills to be the best player in the world, we all know that. But he’s the only one stopping himself from it imo. It doesn’t mean he’s not talented and it doesn’t mean he hasn’t got a point. But even if he has a valid argument, getting ejected is letting your team down. They’re all looking to him to be the leader, and if his body language isn’t there, the team will follow.

I didn’t watch the game but considering how much he gets techs and ejected I would say YES he deserved it.
It’s one part of his game he has to improve.
It was a good game ruined by the refs imo.
Reasonable answer is this. Did Luka deserve an ejection – yes. Did Luka have cause to complain to the refs – yes. It’s up to Luka to know how to go about doing that the right way.

I’ve listed to all the crossover pods, and, while there’s often playful jabs, most hosts are pretty understanding and respectful of the opposite team/players…that being said, I felt like Sean Woodley was a bit too much of a homer and offered little to no concession or understanding for Luka or Slovenia given the circumstances.

Luka's "boobus"… Tobey said that Luka got punches every time he was attacking. I belive he is used to it, but no one can get used to getting scraches, punches, elbow so many times…
in this game Luka did try not to complain about referee…. many times..but old habit and knowing the game inside i belive Luka would be great referee.
Dont belive that Brooks played clean defense… and Canada is so much better team, they don't need referee as a 6th player on the field…
To me it looked like Fiba wants bigger countries in final 4 teams. Money talks…

Lukas whineing was not the problem today.
Referees today were incredibly bias. His comments are on poin…the referees were horrible!
AND the technical fouls were absurd – his and Hrovat`s technical fouls…simply put…were not tehnical fouls.
Saying that the calls were unfair is just not enough…it was difficult to watch! Referees destroyed this game.
Additionally, just this stat says alot – FT for Canada 33, FT for Slovenia 19
Slovenia felt it was their home game with all Luka fans in the building cheering for him while Brooks has been booed every time he gets the ball. But Brooks was able to hit some shots to silence the crowd.
If its canada vs us in the final, I will take great comfort in the fact that without rigged refs Slovenia would have won
I feel bad for my man Luka, he has been treated like trash compared to the talent he is by the refs and opposing teams. You would never see this kind of treatment from the refs for a lebron or curry or basically any other superstar. Every game my man plays with more tape and limps more trying to bang with worthless players and at the end still gets flak for complaining… he aint shaq who could break limbs.
Also Im gonna throw this out here like my opinion matters, but olynyk complained more to the refs in this game than Luka. Dont change my mind
Now you know how Asians feel when they want to watch American and European sports live but we don't complain. We just adjust our daily routines to be able to watch live games.
I hope USA got the kind of vengeance in their game as they shown vs Italy after Ingram tech.
Canada cannot compete to that. 0. Nada.
Maybe it's time for AI to take over the officiating in sports. Then all would be fair and square.
