I hope ham didn’t promise him a starting spot

Excited to see him being an offensive spark off the bench. He’s got a real unique skill set for a guy his size, it’s a shame he’s not disciplined on the defensive end. If he was he would be worth 10x what he is currently

People don’t realize he’s going to be starting. In the summer league, Rob Pelinka made two points, 1. He wants to go back to the 2020 big man duo lineup 2. He wants a big that can do things we don’t have. (Spacing the floor). Looks like we got it.

  4. ‘I’ll play a big role’ hmmmm it depends

Really hope this isn’t a Drummond situation where he was promised a starting spot

If Christian Wood can be the Bobby Portis of the Lakers, they gonna be dangerous.

  8. Sorry, but this statement just reinforces my perception Woods is still a man child. I have even lower expectations for him now.

The Laker depth on paper looks incredible. Ham has his job cut out with rotations, some guys need minutes to get going & others can step right in and cook. Thats the biggest issue I see now. Hopefully Ham improves in this area, he was rookie HC last season & sometimes his rotations were head scratchers.

I dont like Wood taking a shot at Dallas, that’s immature especially with his own history on display. The Mavs also made the western conference finals the season before & I thought adding Wood last summer was huge for them. The Mavs imploded, got injured & traded away depth to get Kyrie & watch the playoffs like I did from home. At the price the Lakers landed Wood, if he follows his trend of burning bridges everywhere, the Lakers can just bury him.

Wood is on a prove it contract , that allows him to opt out next summer & sign good deal that is more in line with his talent. He should be ready to buy in with Lakers core already in place.

*I don’t want to discuss about my previous team but I’m fasure motivated after what Dallas did.*

Play defense and you’ll be loved

He still doesnt get it. Its not what dallas did. Its not what 7 other teams before dallas did. Its you. He still hasnt learned his lesson. This is a terrible signing.

He’s a happy if he’s playing and a cancer if he isn’t type of guy

What did we do to you CWood? I was your biggest hype man before the season, and i was starting to hate Jason Kidd for not giving you minutes! How come 8 teams mistreated you in 8 years man??

Big role!? Stop dude. If everything goes to plan you will only play in garbage time or change of pace here and there

Yall should listen to Tims tweet. He went over the wood news month by month , Dallas when they knew they couldnt sign him to an extension at a number they wanted cut his playing time to depress his value

    Naturally hes pissed at them.

I think hes gonna be a hige piece.for us this year.

That statement can be taken many ways but I’m going to choose to look positively at usage of the word “role”. He’s not looking to be a big numbers star player and wants to be part of a championship contender as a damn good role player 💪

He needs to move on from Dallas and every other team that let him go. If it’s a fresh start treat it like one and move on. Kind of worried about his emotional intelligence re: locker room issues that everyone is aware of.

I know he’ll be mostly a bench guy but I’m excited to see what the lebron/wood/AD front court looks like. Seems OP on paper because of Wood’s fit and skill set but obviously keeping expectations very low

Say what you want about Darvin Ham but this has been 2 talented guys((Dennis&Wood) that he was actively responsible in recruiting for a vet min. Really speaks volumes about how much players believe in his ability to get the most out of their talent.
