Hey all! Thanks for reading. I originally posted this on r/nba and r/nbadiscussion but it was suggested i crosspost here, so forgive some of the obvious “no duh” background information since it was intended for a general NBA audience.
I can’t wait to see if Jaden improves next season! With the way the season ended for him, I bet that’s made him push himself over the summer.
Really hope it comes together for him.

Great article Sikatanan- thanks.
One of the things that I think is a bit under the radar for the Wolves is what the front office may have pulled off in their roster construction: they’ve made it easier for the team to play through foul trouble for their two most foul-prone players (McDaniels and KAT)……this upcoming season – barring injuries – if Jaden gets in foul trouble they’ll be able to insert NAW, who has a similar skillset as an above average 1on1 defender and complementary scorer. If KAT gets in foul trouble, they’ll be able to insert NAZ, who also is a plus offensive player with middling defensive chops. In the regular season at least, this would allow for the team to allow both McDaniels and KAT to stay aggressive on defense and – while they learn to defend without fouling *crosses fingers* – the team can keep their same gameplan and O/D schemes. In theory at least it should help get more regular season wins.

How? He learns to play great defense without fouling. To take a step on the star player status ladder you need to be on the court when it matters and you can’t hamstring your own success by having to play to carefully. He also needs to be a consistent offensive player because of his defense he doesn’t need to score 20 a game but he needs to be a consistent 15+ while shooting a good percentage.
