USA’s defense is what technically lost them the game, but their offense relied on Ant, Brunson, Paolo and Reaves to take their man off the dribble and kick it out if the defense collapsed. Way too reliant on shot making and foul drawing.
We saw Trae run a better offense with Cam Reddish and non-NBA guys during that weird COVID season.

To point out the obvious. USA shot 58/48/95 as a team. Offense was clearly not the problem. Getting out rebounded was, especially 7-12 offensive rebounds. They hunted Reaves on switches and scored a bunch on him.
I know Hawks fans are pissed about their star being snubbed but let’s be honest here. Would be different if they got a true defensive center but Kerr wouldn’t even try Kessler. Who could blame him with the game on the line and the offense clicking throughout the fourth
