smh Where’s the full conversation jj
Interview Dwane Casey
I wish the Wolves actually listened to this guy… I just don't think they listen to him.
Glad to hear Finch mentioning the team needed more structure and he has to implement it. The team plays it’s best with set plays and less freelance/iso plays.
Especially now that gobert is on the team, they should run pick and roll a very high amount, it’s up to Anthony edwards to take that playmaking leap and make the right reads (like hitting gobert on the roll or kat on the perimeter)!
Analytics is "if youre black they call you a cook, if youre white they call you a chef"
heard it from a wiseman
Can someone explain to me how pulling up for a 3 pointer on a fast break is better than going for a layup. Let's look at the numbers. A fastbreak when teams ran regular fast breaks has to be 85% which in a 100 possessions is 170 points. to get 170 points on 3 point shots on a fast break a team has to shoot 57% to beat how an old fast break was run. No team is shooting 57%.
W Guest. Timberwolves fan here since I was a kid and we love Finchy out here. Great coach great head on his shoulders, reminds me of my old Travelling Ball Coach
I need JC to give another breakdown of your average in today’s NBA so we can estimate where you’d be in the top 10 3pt made list 😂
Twolves have zero chance to do anything as long as they are paying 3 centers 500 million – not the coaches fault that management made the worst trade in NBA history
Finchy is a basketball savant genius. Timberwolves future = Ant + Finchy + McDaniels + NAZ REID + no more Glen Taylor.
My recommendation for Finch is to Trade KAT.
GO WOLVES
booooooooring
This is what I come here for
he's a good coach but wrong team personnel. you have two bigs but you space them out cause you said they were low on 3 pt fgs, and you're low on offensive rebound…..you're putting guys in the wrong spot. now you have naz reid shooting 3s lol
FINCH IS MY GUY
The last point JJ made is dumb. What if other players around you in the all time 3 point list also took more 3 point attempts? Just you get to shoot more in your fantasy land?
that's why he was snatch from the raptors mid season to become hc
Always fun to see what pro athletes bar for "profound" is lol
says the guy who has lots of all stars and people getting there not improving lol
JJ soaking it all in…after his broadcasting career he might just make a good coach
Of course. Analytics is just a simple tool you can use as a shortcut. At the end of the day, any tool’s worth depends on its user.
Please tell me what national media org/platform provides such a candid interview with a coach, this interview is great JJ.
Too bad Ant isn't staying in Minnesota. Kerr is giving him the green light for a reason.
Yet he still don't know what to do with poor Rudy.. 😝
an Ant leap combining with a Finch offensive scheme leap?
Giggity
Hey JJ, hope you can have few episodes for coaches especially discussing on how they study the game, create X and Os and managing players.
3 ads in an 8 minute video is crazy hahah. get your bag tho
