nba games don't translate well in FIBA you don't get the tick-tack fouls its more like old nba basketball
The Crash of western civilizations. Unbelievable. Too much one-on-one basketball. This was not our best. Reaves being the second high scorer says it all. This is embarrassing.

This is typical of the NBA today.
Here's a dose of reality:
The NBA quality of play is substandard.
Fundamentals such as defense, moving without the ball and (most of all) always finding the open man for the best shot aren't intrinsic to most NBA players.
USA doesn't grow the best players in the world today.
Pretty soon the USA B-ball will look like every other one of their teams – inferior.
The last of the great NBA players from the USA: LeBron, KD, Curry, Kyrie
After they're gone, the NBA's best players will be international.
I wouldn't call Canada's lost embarrassing by any means. USA though, with all that talent should be embarrassed lol
Come on! Laughing my ass off hearing him defend the world champion term as marketing and that the word world is referencing "their" world (NBA,MLB,NFL). There are hundreds of other terms to coin a team as the champion of said league. Using World champions for marketing is BS!!! The NHL never ever uses the term world champions, they say Stanley Cup Champion. Is it a coincidence that out of the top 4 pro team leagues out of North America, the only league that doesn't say world champion was not created in USA? Americans have been called out before using that term, but they always shrug it off. It's only now a subject matter because Noah Lyles is such a high profile track star and also happens to be American.
Thats what happens when you plan the Finals before you get there.
Teams playing as a unit and experience under FIBA rules did win over individual talent.

If you win the NBA, you are NOT the World champion, you are the best TEAM in the world! Germany or Serbia will be the World Champion. A private club can never be a World Champion only NATIONAL TEAMS can! Franchises or clubs (europe) can only be the best teams in the world. Its not a figure of speech. Its OBJECTIVELY not possible. Like the Euroleague Champion cant just call themself NBA Champion. I mean, its just a figure of speech, dont you think?
