Here we talk about the recent signing of Javale McGee to the Sacramento Kings. How will he fit on his new team? Can Javale McGee start on this team at the center position, or will he just be an insurance policy big to help front court depth next season? What are your thoughts?

  1. Starting lineup loses too much spacing with Javale and Sabonis playing at the same time. Personally don't think that's a great idea. I just think we need a defensive presence when Sabonis is off the floor. We honestly don't know what's gonna happen with Noel. Almost guaranteed Queta goes G league again. I think 3rd string center just depends on how well each player performs during training camp. If Noel looks good he'll probably be 3rd string and then who knows what happens with Len.

  2. This is exactly what has been on my mind since the McGee signing! I've been having the same thought as KT here. Otherwise, this log jam at the center position is kind of puzzling. Having HB off the bench might not be a bad idea. This will give our 2nd unit more firepower.

  3. Ain't no way McGee can start. You can't have three non-shooters in the lineup (Sab, Fox, McGee) in today's NBA. I can't see Sabonis and McGee on the court together. One of those two spots just have to be able to hit the three or the offensive system will be stunted (that's why Lyles is so valuable–he hits threes). I hate to say this, but I can easily see both Nerlens and Queta getting cut from the team before the season starts unless they show something special in training camp. Remember Kent Bazemore in training camp last year?! He was cut and stunned. The predict the bigs 4/5 rotation will be Sabonis, Trey, McGee, and Sasha and at all times one of those positions has to be fulfilled by a shooter (Trey or Sasha).

  4. Sabonis needs a big man who can spread the floor. Look at what he did in Indiana w/ Turner ( a shot blocking center ). I get the signings. We need interior defense but Sabonis is our starting center.

  5. Trey lyes will get most of the back up center role . He’s the best option . Maybe undersized but plays big (pause) and stretches the floor better than any other option…

  6. Len knows his role, accepts his role and steps up when it’s time. I was impressed by his play last year.
Last year I noticed Rudy Gober’s face when Len was going in and he was not happy.
    LTMFB!!

  7. NO NO NO Domas is NOT a PF…

Kings had the best offense ever, with Domas at the 5. He has said himself he prefers it. Not one Kings fan would think Domas should slide down.

Trey and Sasha are both PF. Keegan and HB can be as well. Already going to be hard to find Trey minutes (and he very much deserves them)

  8. Go kings! Loving most of our pickups this off-season. Hope McGee can shine off the bench out here
