[Fischer] Dennis Schroder went to EuroBasket last summer without an NBA contract. He played his way into a return with the Lakers, helped Los Angeles make the WCF, then just got named MVP of the World Cup after leading Germany to the gold medal with Franz Wagner. Quite a story.

Freeze 🥶. That’s tuff 🔥🔥🔥💯 I’m so happy for him!

Dennis had many legendary moments this tournament. Franz and Moe have a documentary following them to the Olympics. I honestly cant wait to see these games in that behind the scenes view. The Magic need to look into bringing Dennis home to Orlando. Also bring back Obst. Little Germany in Central Florida.

I do think that FRANZ would have won MVP if he wasn’t injured. Came back won player of the game 2 out of 3 games, and the game he didnt win I think he could have won also but 4q OBST heroics was weighted higher than the other 3 quarters Franz dominated.

Started with the fumbling of Lakers bag, now a FIBA World Cup MVP. Crazy ride

Oh man if I was a moron I’d click on Twitter and read about it. But alas I don’t root for Darth Vader.

  5. So, based on his FIBA resume will he be a hall of famer?

the redemption arc must continue a little longer

Keep him away from magic city and he’ll be great!

I hope this is the Dennis the Raptors get.

And Schroeder let Team Germany in the World Cup 4 years ago where Germany went out in the group stage after losing to the DomRep. He got a lot of criticism and kept on working hard after that. Great redemption arc, I am super happy for him.

What a couple years for him. Personally I think he learned a lot by not getting another big contract after that disastrous off-season with the Lakers (the first one). He was humbled and became the leader the German national team needed to pull of this run. Undefeated against teams as Serbia, Slovenia, USA, Australia and dark horse Lithuania. Man what a run! So glad for him. Hope he stays grounded! GL with the raptors

Kind of annoyed we didn’t pick him up we badly needed a backup point

The power of believing yourself and putting in the work. Dennis is a guy who always wants the ball in his hands in the last play. Not afraid of having the game on the line. Win or lose on me.

A winning mentality. Germany and the Raptors are lucky to have him.

Greatest redemption ark of all time incoming. Dude is rewriting his legacy.

    International basketball should matter more.

He also carried on almost every dribble.

I dont really understand what happened tbh. He was always good, then was about to get a huge payday, then it evaporated in 1 season, and now people think hes good again.
