  1. Happy Thursday, fam. Without even watching a second—I'll answer this easy peasy question: Give me the $500 million!!! They can keep those rings. Generational wealth (make your own family history) over NBA history. How many people will be speaking about MJ, Curry, LBJ, in a 100 years…? The wealth will be there. Your accomplishments and name loses meaning over time but the money will always be there. Walt Disney was an actual person. THAT is a man's first and last name…

Now, I'll press play and listen to my man, Chev, as I sip this Heineken and smoke this spliff with both feet in the pool,

  2. One is tangible ($) and the other is not tangible (career accomplishment=emotion). Choose wisely. Signpost (don't climb it-follow it): Luxury is just a mental construct. What defines luxury…?

  3. Ask Robert hurry that question 7 rings role player.

Ask LeBron, kd n co the main guys

Then ask the pretenders superstars james harden, n co.

The effect are all different. The main guys will make more than 500m just because of the rings. The pretenders n role players will be 4gotten even with the rings. So they ve 2 take the money

  4. Chav it all depends if you a role player of a superstar, because the superstar would make more than 500 million winning 5 championship

  5. Gil capping and thats pure cope! When washington was on the come up in the east he was competing for championships

He didnt go out there conceding he was going to lose .. gtfoh 😂😂

  6. Give me the molaaah, dinero, big bucks, da cheddar! Championship is a team effort, my check book is my business. Fill it up 😂😂😂😂😂

  7. Can't lie, chev. I'm taking the money all day 🤧💰, cash is king, it's an easy choise for me to be honest. Great topic by the way Chev👍.

  8. Generational wealth > where I rank in basketball history. I don't mind being forgotten about as long as it keeps my descendants from being victims of the system

  9. 5 rings if I was a 1-2 option. Would make the money and have the rings. As a role player, show me the 💰

  10. No question it’s the money. 500 million is in excess of what an nba player would make in their lifetime, let alone entire playing career

  11. Eyy yo, give me the cheese and am living life to the fullest. Hell I'll buy my own chip.

  12. Let’s ask 3 time NBA champion
Patrick McCaw if he’d rather have the mula.

  13. Hay Chev you start to sound like super AI. You're sharper than the rest, you're too logical, you're getting scared truth. Keep up the good work.

  14. Somebody better talk some sense into Giannis. Don't chase rings. Get that $65 mil a year while it's on the table. He's earned it.

  15. that's generational wealth or 5 rings. Each ring at most is worth $50k, $100k tops, I'll take the money. Not everyone cares about basketball, money buys power and influence everywhere. You think that waiter at the posh restaurant is treating you nice out of the goodness of their heart? They won't be treating you better because you're flashing 5 rings lol

  16. its interesting because having 5 rings as a 1-2 option is like getting a raise once a year for 5 years in a 9-5, but 500 milly is too big to turn down.

  17. So hard to say cause the value of a ring isn't the same… Steph and Durant have the same ring but 1 is a tainted as a ring chaser… All the LBJ vs MJ convos discredits rings from a Superteam… Role player rings = who cares… If your ring actually matters, you'd be already making the $.

  18. I asked da homies this question you are asking….I'm 48 and friends around the same age…..all of them said 5 rings. So I ask my son age 14 same question he goes "not gonna lie I'd take da 💰💰💰💰💰💰" 😂

  19. Gimme half a billion, I'll get you 5 chips. Even if I had one leg.
Elite athletes are giant children with no heart. (compared to people who work for a living)

  20. I wasn't shocked at the answer I was shocked at your age…. Your absolutely so lively at 49 because some ppl act like they can't enjoy themselves.

  21. I agree with you on the mental construct. Money helps a lot but in the context of things you have to look at thinks wholistically. What are you sacrificing to get the $$$. How does that impact your mind & well -being. Are you making sure that indeed that $$$ results in life time or generational wealth. For me, i think wholistically, while I need the money it does not define me. For me, the moment you attached your life to material things, it is the moment you lose your soul.

  22. I would pick the money for the long-term security. It can buy you influence and perhaps help build a championship team as an owner-player.

  23. The thing is if you're in the position to be debating money or championship, you're already worth 15 million per year minimum and the championship is more than just a trophy. It sets you up for career opportunities and endorsements down the road that make up for the difference in the contract debate in the here and now. Draymond Green is already set up for another career beyond the NBA just talking about basketball because he's on a good team, but if he was making millions more on a garbage team with no championships it would invalidate everything he has to talk about.

  24. Rings. Because that's an accomplishment that lives on after you're dead and buried. Money comes and goes. Being slightly less rich means NOTHING in the short life we have. I know NHL'ers would take next to nothing for a chance at that Cup. The Stanley Cup means everything. Should be the same for the NBA.

  25. If I was the superstar of the Toronto Raptors, I will take 5 rings and gladly sacrifice myself for the greater good of my favourite team of all time. Otherwise, I take the bag for the right price for any other basketball team except maybe for China or Saudi Arabia.

  26. But bro if u do have 5 chips and carry yourself as a pro and a business man, then u can always do appearances, commercials, represent but companies such as Nike, different firms etc. bro u could double that 500 in 2 years. U can lose that 500 mil, you can’t lose being a 5 time champ. It just opens so many more doors for u bro. Scottie will never be broke n he only made like 30 mil over his nba career from nba contracts. But at your age I get why u would take da money.

  27. I'd take the rings money losses value to inflation, and taxes are unavoidable. When you live with less money doesn't matter.

  28. 🎶 🎵 Money/Money/Money/Mooooooney 🎶 🎵 💰 💸 💲 🪙 💶

    Chev Wit That Philosophical Discussion!

  29. If it was pure black and white sure, half a billion is easy answer. But life is actually more grey, do you want 1 ring or EXTRA 100 million is a more realistic decision. So far every single modern player is saying ring. They saw what not winning did to chuck, malone, miller. They are bitter for fucking life.

  30. Gilbert started this conversation?? His lame ass. Gimme the rings. In that situation you are getting paid regardless. Gimme the rings the accolades and the respect. Champs get treated like champs. Everyone talks about legacy money wise but not the work wise. Yeah this money can do shit. But people love and take care of people who come thru for them and champs. Look at Kobe’s kids or other past winners. You know we work for that. Cities love you and you will be immortalized. You will never be forgotten and opportunities will rise. I would rather be part of something special and not sacrifice that for a bigger bag.
