  1. Bro I really thought JJ would be talking about basic basketball fundamentals and team chemistry, but here he is making up excuses

  2. Jj usab will have a better chance with plumbers like will perdue, bill Winnington and ostertag at the center position. Jonas and some European center looks like shaq out there. American players thought they are in the nba where no defense happens. Teams are scoring 110+ points in a 40 minute game

  3. This is probably the most cap report jj has ever made, i don't think they even once acknowledged how well other teams played and didn't give any other team their flowers. Just giving excuses upon excuses for why we didn't win. Lol hilarious

  4. I don't remember last time i enjoyed watching basketball so much like this WC. It's way more beautifull then what NBA basketball is becoming.

  5. The reason why team USA is now getting beat in international tournaments, is because their white players are not ginobili white, they are jj redick white.
USA needs more white players who are ginobili white. Not white players who are jj redick white.

  6. Lithuanian a bunch of slow, doesn't have great handles, doesn't have great hops you called plumber dominated usab. Nba is just for entertainment not real basketball. Guys don't play defense. Don't call travel allowed offensive players to accelerate without a single dribble.

  7. 2019 was the first time I had ever watched world cup basketball, actually, and I have been patiently waiting for this years tournament ever since then. Gotta say it hasn't disappointed. Team Canada vs Team USA was a great game and nice way to end everything off.

  8. You learnt that giving young boys the bag and telling them they're all that before they've achieved a single thing makes them soft egomaniacs.

You've also learnt that the winners of the NBA have never been further from world champions. Noahstradamus was right.

  9. NBA best players today like to win a NBA Championship, but not International games. 😂 They're not a World Champion but a National Champion. While the world thinks US didn't care in a world stage game. 😂

  10. The idea that America was missing it’s top players is laughable. KD, Steph, Kawhi, PG, Lebron, AD etc weren’t going. If you wanna say we were missing Tatum, Brown, Booker, Fox, Mitchell, Young then maybe I hear you.

  11. I think international teams much better. Yanks stack for next year, olympics, you watch.

  12. Only Americans have that excuse? Lol Luka plays for his country every year and he carries a whole lot of burden than any NBA player playing for the USA. At this point, Americans just dont want to play and when they lose, they want to be on the redeem team

  13. 10:57 about the "role" point. Though I would agree about the "excitement" factor in theory, that is not why other good teams managed to beat the US. In fact, players like Clarkson, Hollis Jefferson, Kyle Anderson, even Karl Anthony towns got a bigger role on their teams but that didn't translate to many wins. Even Fournier's France got eliminated immediately. Team USA lost to teams that were better organized and played very well collectively. Chemistry works not because average NBA players are allowed to do what they want, but because everyone buys into their role and knows that you can't win by yourself. And by the way, it's perfectly reasonable that FIBA rules may favour some players over others for various reasons and the change in role might make some players play better than others, but come on. Realistically, Team USA shouldn't need everyone on the roster to play out of their minds to win a world cup, it's all about making time to build chemistry and a good system.

  14. The issue is the American me first culture, hence why Joker, Giannis, Luka are the top players in the league. The issue is capitalism which is why our best players don’t want to risk getting hurt. The issue is this social media era where we solely focus on offensive highlights and glaze over defense. The issue is the NBA as great of a league as it is it’s rules are structured in a way where basketball is more entertainment than actual play. Hence why the spurs at one point were considered boring to watch. The issue is our arrogance when it comes to the improvement of other basketball programs around the world. It’s not enough to show up anymore. These guys have to play to win now and it’s only going to get worst once the current superstars of the league retire.

  15. We learned that usa nba players need to hit the weights, international stars carry the nba, and that Kerr is a dogshit coach.

  16. Also, I swear Venezuela is the roughest team out there.. they are scrappy and get away with a lot. I remember that about them in the last world cup.

  17. Philippines didn’t send their best stars that’s why they didn’t win the gold. 🤦‍♂️

  18. Not sending your best players, but… the roster on paper is also much better than other rosters. Schroder and Theis beating you? Cmon

  19. This is some of the most hilarous 'I'm not making excuses but' I've ever listened to.

It's not the USA's fault that every role player turns into MJ (except team USA role players).

It's not the players fault they we're in the wrong roles (but I still love the roster).

We didn't have any bigs on the roster but it's not the coaches fault who picked the roster.

This is what happens when you know it was a shitshow but you're too much of an apologist to actually name anybody at fault.

As an international fan I normally love your content but this conversation was absolute cringe. If you can't have an honest discourse for 'reasons' then better not to tackle the topic at all.

  20. Sounds like excuses, this is an easy fix, get the best nba players represent the team, then 0 excuses

  21. USA CANT PLAY HIGH LEVEL BASKETBALL IN INTERNATIONALGAME. IT IS WORLD CUP. NOT NBA STATES CHAMPIONSHIP

  22. No Chill knew they were gonna lose…he said they were too small, ie no rebounders, no shot blockers. It still a big man game no matter how much the game changes.

  23. I wonder why Coach K and JJ didn't say the int'l players turn into LeBron James once int'l games start. Just curious.

  24. Suddenly these commentators think the USA sent the D league team. They sent NBA starters and lost. Talentwise, that US team was still solid. Stop making excuses
