Should The Detroit Lions Play WR Antoine Green?

Should The Detroit Lions Play Antoine Green?

In this video, we’ll discuss whether or not the Detroit Lions should start rookie WR Antoine Green in their Week 2 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Green has been impressive in preseason play, but he’s still a rookie and he’ll likely face some tough competition from veterans like Josh Reynolds, Kalif Raymond and Marvin Jones Jr. We’ll discuss the pros and cons of playing Green in this Week 2 game, and let you know whether or not the Lions should start him.

  1. 100%!! Sungod is by himself out there give ANTIONE the green light (😂😂) let the young man work!!

  2. I like Green. He is fast and can fill in the deep threat role. I think the Lions will use him as they get more faith in him. If he isn't ready, why would you force him into something you don't need? The Lions are fine with Laporta and Gibbs helping out the WR corps. Next week should be a field day for St. Brown, Gibbs, and LaPorta. The Seahawks are not getting much of a pass rush going and they are still struggling stopping short over the middle passes.

  3. Yes..Let him work and see how it goes. I think he will do fine. But you won't know till he gets a real game try. New day, new team ! Go Lions🙏🦁🦁🦁 !

  4. I'm not totally off Marvin Jones but I would play Green some if nothing but a decoy or downfield blocking because if Jones lost more than a step or an injury somewhere Green isn't lost out there

  5. Receiver is about more than just running deep. He will play once he deserves to play.

  6. Please let Antoine Green play,he's going to surprise people if you let him play,I'm pulling for this young man.

  7. With all due respect to everyone on this post, The Lions do everything in practice. Antoine Green's playing time is going to be calculated the same way James Houston's was last year. And that means he would have to buss his butt to the point the coaching staff can no longer ignore it. If not, there's a better chance the staff will either just ride with the starters from Thursday night, or you will see a trade for receiver help. But we are not going to see Green solely because Jones had a bad game.

  8. All I'll say is he made the team for a reason and it seems the Lions need some help at WR until JAMO gets back. I really don't see any players we could trade for or anything like that. If he's ready, let's play him. Go Lions!

  9. Yes, they can alternate him in and out. As for Marvin, he's going to improve and learn from his mistake
