This definitely is one of the worst DV cases amongst an athlete we have seen in recent years. The media and teams took Ray Rice’s incident very seriously and ended his career but since then we have seen so many players in leagues such as the NFL and NBA do much more egregious things to their spouses than even Ray Rice did but they rarely ever get any real punishment at all or attention from the media past the initial reports which is just so insane to me.
I’ll just use Tyreek Hill for an example. Most of the players have so much respect for him, he gets a lot of love and positive attention from the media and many fans (outside of reddit) and no one ever cares about the multiple times he violently beat up a woman because he is really good at football. Fortunately, KPJ isn’t good so he may actually get what is coming to him. But it is so fucking sad how being good at a sport in this world means that you can be a complete violent piece of shit and you will still be loved, be rich and live a good life.

This kid is sick and I hope he eventually gets the help he needs. He doesn’t deserve to be in the NBA though and should be punished to the full extent for being a habitual abuser

I’d say he’s done.. but I thought the same thing about Bridges and here we are. The league needs to start taking violence against women and children more serious. There’s no reason why he and Miles Bridges should ever be allowed to play professional basketball in the NBA ever again. So fuck Bridges, fuck KPJ and fuck Adam Silver.
Yeaaaah should be in jail and certainly should never play in the league again. Although after the Miles Bridges shit I wouldn’t be surprised if he weaseled his way back somehow down the road.
Buddy came from a broken household. Sad. But he had so many opportunities to change, coming into an obscene amount of money and could’ve bought himself all the therapists and help, but continued the vicious cycle.
