“I’ll do it” in response to Kuzma’s recent tweet:
> USA basketball better get some nba stars that know how to play a role. Anybody can be nice with the ball in their hands but can you be cool with defending and going to the corner for a few possessions?
Looks like we might have some young stars lining up to play their part if they can actually commit. Who’s next?

Bro really thought he was Thanos
Booker has recently shown more of a commitment to playing defense and we already know he can knock down 3s at a decent clip.
Why wouldn’t you do it is the question
Booker ranked very very good in C&S last season. His defense will never be great but he’ll be better in that environment because he will have far less offensive responsibility. Also, generally, facing worse athletes.
Kuzma and Booker talking about defence lol

People still talk bad about Books defense like it’s 2019. He’s good and he a gives a fuck on that end of the floor. More than you can say about the majority of the league
a guy who complained about double teams in practice
good luck 🤞
cant wait for the olympics
The two SG should be Booker and Mitchell. Everyone else should have a try out or something.
When every game is an elimination game, not sure Booker is the guy you want lol
That’s what they had him doing in college lmao so he could do it.
But will he take on the double team?
Loving all these players stepping up. This is kinda big too because Kuz’s tweet was kinda talking about humbling yourself for a team USA win and here we see Booker buying in. Dammit I’m not trying to like Book lol
Books the best. His willingness to be a role player last Olympics 1 1/2 weeks after losing the finals was a huge reason why Team USA won last time. The guy went from back to back 40 point games in the finals to being a ball mover, connector and defender. His willingness to significantly shift roles lead to guys like Lavine and others to also accept that role and stop playing the garbage iso ball where everyone thought they were the guy that team USA was playing before Booker Jure and Middleton joined the team.
i thought him and zach lavine were great at the olympics. they were surprisingly decent on defense and playing a ‘role’.
In the gold medal matchup in 2020, Booker went 1/6 with 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 turnovers and 1 steal. He was a team low -8. (Lillard was the only other negative player at -4.)
USA vs Slovenia for parental rights?
He’s not making all defense anytime, but he’s 5 tiers above guys like Trae, Brunson, Jamal, etc etc. Honestly even as a Lakers fan I can say he’s made great strides.
I will do it Jared Dudley guarding the water cooler
3&D book
I would love to see Book as the Michael Redd of this Team USA. Redd was great as the designated long range shooter for the Redeem Team.
everyone wants their Kobe moment.
A fully bought in Booker would be one of the best Olympic players easily imo. Dude can do everything and if he just takes what’s given he’ll be great
fraud
As long as his role doesn’t involve beating double teams
All these players wanna play “hero”. If ya’ll were so committed… where were ya for FIBA lol
He is already a very good off-ball player
And does some dirty job very well
Like throw mascots out of their own arena
Book really pullin’ the “who invited my man Kuz? Bro thinks he’s on the team”
Book is an absolute dawg. No way he lets this team leave with anything less than a Gold medal.
I feel like Book could totally dominate in international ball offensively. Kinda like how Melo was basically our best player when he played even tho there were “better” players on the team
Who could’ve guessed it would take the USA losing to Dillon Brooks in a Bronze medal game for r/NBA to finally respect Devin Booker?
He’d be dangerous as a spot up shooter
Everyone committing now but let’s see in 2 years
