FWIW, a lot of people reached out asking for an "emergency" pod on KPJ, but this isn't a trade or NBA rumor where a "reaction" is needed, it's a very serious situation, so I chose to wait for more facts/evidence to surface before recording.
Sad. In my best John Wall voice…"Trash!" Hope for a speedy recovery to the victim. And i hope this does not hamper the Rockets in any way this coming season.

If Jackson isn’t surprised, I doubt the FO is either. I think they knew and covered up too much, to have kept messing around with him. Im beginning to think Stone selfishly saw how much his stock as a GM would rise if KPJ turned into an important player, who overcame demons. Etc.
You don’t give a guy an nfl partially guaranteed contract in the nba and promote him as if he’s a face of the team. He was the most talented perimeter player last season, yet got a carrot and stick contract.
They not so stealthily built a team that fits better without him on it. Team was already moving on from KPJ imo. Most talented perimeter player but Pigeon-holed to be a sixth man. Weird. Didn’t consider him apart of “the core 4” going into the draft? Strange. Thought he was 23.
Rockets were more ready for life after Porter than not. But the coddling they did is embarrassing.
From a team perspective, I think the aftermath of this terrible situation will bring all of the players closer together. This is a shock to deal with as a fan of the team. Imagine what it’s like to actually know everyone involved. Maybe even had inklings something is going on but you don’t see enough to jump to that accusation. This is terrible all around. Porter enabled his own I irredeemable and patterned actions. Stone enabled this trash getting more unlimited chances .

It doesn’t matter if he did it or not. In the end he’s got one of the worst reputation in NBA. He’s guilty either way. His career is over and I still can’t believe the rockets didn’t release him immediately.

Well done Jackson. It’s a negative time but on the positive side once we get to actual basketball I think the culture will now thrive and fun, tough, hard nosed basketball will win out.
Agree with everything besides your take on Jalen at the end. Kid has been a problem free kid his whole life. He has basic maturing to do that any 21 year old needs to do but nothing uniquely special for him because again, he literally is trouble free off the court. And this notion they were best buds is not even that true. Off the court who did Jalen train and hang around with? KJ Martin, Jabari, FVV, Josh Christpher etc.
KPJ is done. We've given him every opportunity under the sun to change and he messed it up in the worst way.
It is sad man, I always defended him and hoped for him to become a star for the Rockets. I pray for Kysra to recover from her injuries and to recover mentally from all what she went thorough. I am very disappointed in him what a disgrace.

His career is over
Everyone keeps talking about his stint with the Rockets being over, or his career being over. Both of those things are most likely to be true, but the most probable outcome is that he's going to jail. She doesn't have to press charges. The state will in all likelihood pick up the charges and prosecute him unless some evidence comes out of left field proving that he got set up. KPJ is toast. He has serious anger issues and needs to be on meds. The way he snaps off can't be handled with therapy alone. Sad story that this young man has thrown his life and freedom away and that a young lady was hurt in the process because his affliction hasn't been properly handled.

I hope the girls okay too but if you think taking this kids basketball career away from him is going to somehow make him a better person then you're delusional. Domestic violence is an everyday occurrence. It is what it is, no reason to take this kid's life away when other players have done worse. Get a restraining order and move on.

Jackson did you not watch Evan Mobley get exposed in the Playoffs. Evan got Bullied defensively by Mitchell Robinson and Julius Randall. Evan also was a Non Factor in the Offense as Donovan Mitchell took most of the Shots and Evan Mobley stood in the Corner not wanting to include himself in the Offense.
